they lost to St. Louis 1-0 and they lost 2-1 in OT to Cal State Northridge

they also had 2-1 OT win over SIU-Edwardsville

they played Marquette to 1-1 draw in exhibition match

That is the best half of soccer that I have seen from the Zips since the 2010 year. The young players have shown great improvement.

UA 3-0 Tulsa

Zips thoroughly dominate Golden Hurricane from stem to stern. Team is much better than they were a month ago.

Embick has evidently settled upon a starting lineup, though his bench goes deeper than did Porter's. Several subs routinely see action. The freshmen are blossoming as they gain confidence.

In particular, Sam 7Gainford played the best I have seen him. He was Tulsa's nightmare on the left wing all night. I had the pleasure of chatting with (I think) his grandparents; his presumed grandmother was wearing a Liverpool FC scarf.
