sgm405
I thought it'd be both interesting and fun for everyone to put their game by game predictions for the upcoming season in one place. It'll give us an idea about how everyone feels going into the year, and will be fun to look at at the end of the year when all is said and done The schedule:9-2-06 - @ Penn State 9-9-06 - @ N.C. BTW, we could win in Toledo and Lose to Miami.OR, we could win in both! :DWe MAYBE KINDA HAVE a shot at NCState if they are down and we are fired up. I know we are on the track toward great things, but Penn State aint happenin'.9-

Depending on what Miami and Bowling Green does, Akron has a great shot at winning the MAC East. I highly doubt will beat N.C. State after Penn State beats up on us. But after losing to both, they become motivated and win the next 4, especially against Central Michigan. Miami has our number, just like last year and the year before with Charlie Frye and it was a home game. Toledo is the second best in the MAC this year and really good playing at home, this will be a close one. The rest are wins. Remember what happend against Army and Ball State last year. Anything can happen.

liljc
I really think the Zips win 9 games, and it could even be 10. I believe they will sweep the home schedule (NTSU, Miami, BG, Buffalo, WMU) and they get road wins at CMU, Can't State, Cincy, Toledo, and Ohio. I know that adds up to ten wins, but it allows for a slip up somewhere along the way, probably on the road. I just hope it isn't Can't State or Cincy. bobbyake
10 wins, no way. Not a chance. We lost to Army at home last year. Gave them their first win. You know we're bound to lose one at home. The Rubber Bowl really doesn't give a whole lot of home field advantage. Remember when we lost that heart breaker to Miami with Frye. We would have won the MAC and went to a bowl game, but we lost to Miami at home. It's either going to be Miami or Bowling Green. We'll lose in the Glass Bowl just like everyone else does that plays Toledo in it. 8-4 is going to be the final record if everything goes normal.9-2-06 - @ Penn State L No chance9-9-06 - @ N.C. State L Small chance, don't get your hopes up though.9-16-06 - @ Central Michigan W Easy win after playing 2 good BCS schools9-23-06 - North Texas W This should be a win but you never know about Texas teams9-30-06 - @ Can't State W Akron's only game against a D1AA caliber team this year.10-7-06 - @ Cincinnati W ??? questionable. We could lose this one.10-21-06 - Miami L They have our number, remember 04 and the Army game in 0510-28-06 - @ Toledo L No one beats Toledo in the Glass Bowl.11-4-06 - Bowling Green W ??? questionable. They are a solid team.11-9-06 - Buffalo W I'm hoping they aren't the Ball State of 0511-16-06 - @ Ohio W Ohio is garbage. Easy win no matter where you play them.11-24-06 - Western Michigan W Should be a win any day.If you don't like my predictions, that's fine. They're just predictions. I don't think one prediction made last year was exact. And I don't think any predictions made this year are going to be exact either. But I'm not going to get my hopes up and expect a 10 win season because if you do that, you'll get dissappointed with an 8-4 record which is actually pretty good for the Zips. Best record in awhile. I'm setting my hopes on a bowl game. I could care less if they're 7-5, 8-4, 9-3, or 10-2, as long as they go to a bowl game. They were 6-5 last year in the season and it was a wonderful year just because we won the MAC Championship and went to a bowl game. That's where I lay my hopes.
