This team seems to have one big thing that last year's team lacked, and that is resilience. They do not let a bad stretch of basketball get them down -- they fight through it -- and that is a sign of a potentially very good basketball team.

Watched UAPB play three games in Hawaii to start the season. This is the best Pine Bluff team I have ever seen. Akron by 15.

Oh, I forgot to mention -- watch out for J Love and the Special Sauce!

Great point, Z.I.P. When things aren't going well this team doesn't get down. They don't show bad body language and there's no sulking. It's a very even-tempered team with no prima donnas. The players all seem to get along really well and appear to want to help each other by sharing the ball and making extra passes. The 5 players scoring in double figures tonight is a good sign of that. Even at this early stage of the season, the balance and chemistry of this team is as good as any Zips team I can recall.

There was a wreck on Rt8 that snarled traffic.

That explains it a little. However, still the smallest crowd (2,378) since January 2, 2013 against Coppin State (2,227).

Crowd didnt increase but many if at all. Very small crowd. I was disappointed

Even though the crowd was small, I was glad to see a vocal AK-Rowdies contingent there. They brought some energy, especially at the start of the second half. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but it made it feel like a home game, as opposed to an exhibition game on a neutral court.

Kwan looked like he was totally out of gas in the last 8 or 9 minutes.

A guy who played only a few minutes here and there last year suddenly is not only a starter but we NEED him in there.

Deji has really grown on me. He plays harder than anyone on the team and his game has really matured.

I do like the chemistry that is developing with this crew. If last year's team had this chemistry, they could have been dangerous. Fortunately, the biggest threat to last year's chemistry is now at Fairmont State.
