Zipgrad01
Why not Guiser at FS (6' 1" 205, 16 INT's in high school, 2nd team PA AA and he has paid his dues here as a true and redshirt Freshman)? ... I'm sure Baggett, Cheek, Morrow, and Turner are going to be in the mix (Bivins is listed as a Rover) . Because on the field in practice last year he looked like a backup high school player at a decent NE Ohio D1 program....hence the Rudy remark by Keener. K92
Been thinking about this. . .MTB is not on the 2 deep? There are 14 WRs on the Spring roster. 8 of them are better than Mike? Wow. He is a Junior for cryin' out loud.Nordly Capi and Nmesoma Okafor graduated. So 2 guys step into their spots on the 2 deep. There's a 3rd guy who has relegated Horner to 3rd string for his Senior year? So, I'm thinking about who might be coming on at DE. . .I come up with Jamal Marcus, DeonTae Moore and who??? Travonte Junius???Is Boyett on the 2 deep?P.S. My Rudy comment was just plain wrong. Sorry about that. I hope Guiser has an All-MAC 2015. Buckzip
Spring ball depth chart means nothing. Some coaches place better players lower on the depth chart as a motivational tool. You will see this at quite a few schools. This may just be a kick in the butt to MTB.
K92
Spring ball depth chart means nothing. You're right. It's just something to talk about while we try to get through March Sadness.
Balsy
MTB needs a kick in the butt. He has so much potential he's not living up to.
UA1987
Keener - Boyett is currently listed on the 2 deep behind Williams at left tackle. Note that all of our tackles on the 2 deep are Seniors. Again, we need some help from Jucos or transfers that can play tackle in 2016 and we need to uncover a good blue shirt or Juco that can play now. If nothing is done our equipment manager should be looking for the best flak jacket, concussion helmet, and knee braces for our QB's to wear. Athletic Trainer's - order a boat load of tape. UA1987
More info on Zach Guiser - Top 30 player (#26) in PA AA. Offers from BG, Buffalo, Temple and Can't. We stole him away from Can't... I like the guy already. Also very smart and good work ethic - I'll keep my eye on this position battle.
Blue & Gold
Just noticed that Newman Williams is also listed as #2 at MIKE linebacker behind John Rachel. If that's the case I'm no longer disappointed seeing him listed as #2 TE.
Blue & Gold
I'm also surprised that big Darryl Monroe (6-1, 235) is listed at WILL linebacker. I figured he'd be MIKE, along with Williams.
UA1987
I believe Williams is listed as the starter at T/E - could change as we have Fitzpatrick (6'5" 215) and Kish (6'4" 260) on the roster at this position. Kish may play on short yardage situations as he was once an O-lineman. Better yet, condition 40 lbs on Kish and switch him to tackle. Also, we have a 2015 eligible linebacker coming in from the PAC 10, which could make the MIKE position crowded.

That's why I posted I was surprised he's listed at WILL linebacker & not MIKE. Dude's huge; seems more like a MIKE.

johnnyzip84
I'm not sure when he'll be eligible, but have we talked about this transfer from Indiana before? I apologize if he's been mentioned elsewhere.Edit: wadszip did in fact mention him before. Nice call, wadszip!
Balsy
I couldn't find the 2014 prospectus anywhere, but from what I remember what we'd consider 1st stringers were kinda all over the place in the spring game. It is just me, or is it embarrassing that they STILL have a link that says "Buy 2014 Season Tickets" with Jawon Chisholm...in the ARoo helmet...on the site? AND THE FREAKIN LINK STILL TAKES YOU TO THE 2014 SCHEDULE! Embarrassing.
