Dr Z
I stopped reading when I got to this sentence about Buffalo's new head coach. As an aside, Leipold's best hire is wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Rob Ianello, who quite easily ranks as one of the premier recruiters in all of college football. With that sentence alone, one should be banned from ever typing again. Not enough is done in this country about keyboard control. Where does Mr Trump stand on this hot topic?
Dr Z
7-5 with the Wagon Wheel returning and a bowl appearance, which should get recruiting and attendance trending in the right directionI'm hoping your prediction is right on. Nice job.
UA1987
I'm hoping your prediction is right on. Nice job.Back for Rivalry Week.Still burned that we changed our offense with so many Seniors on that side of the ball in such a critical year, but Woodson and the Offense started a few games ago to learn their positions. TW has changed in that he does not hold on to the ball too long when a Read Option play is called and his receiver route recognition is getting better. I like his durability and his character (thanked a kid at the CMU game that was cheering at the field level rail for the Zips). Thomas is still young, but we have a QB that we can win with this FryeDay. Also, I'm impressed with the job Funk is doing with the O-line. I hope we can keep him. I like Lane's improvement, but he needs to work on being a force on the field when the play does not call his number. I like Wolf and how about Davis having a great senior year. Wish we had Alexander for 2016, but I think he will be out of eligibility.I'd like to see Bell being more of a force on special teams, ala Nick Rossi, but he is still a teenager I believe. JB1 and C. Grice are getting a lot of well deserved pub, but what about Seniors Scott and Evans. Give them a big cheer at the game, as well as all of the Seniors, who are about to put the Zips back on the map as a legit TURNAROUND program!Go Zips! Bell has delivered some punishing blows on ST this year. I am looking forward to seeing him as a LB in the future.Scott is a junior and I think Evans has received the press he deserves. He plays well at run defense, not as strong on pass defense. He isn't in the same league from a speed perspective as others.Watching Woodson play and improve has been a blast. He has the best arm out of the three we have seen start, and is probably the best all-around QB. I am glad his decision-making improved from last season. After hearing his comments during the post-game interview, it made me wonder if the speed of the game wasn't Chapman's primary problem. We need him to improve if he is our back-up. Tommy is a tough kid and I love to see him run the ball because he is gritty and you can tell he is pouring his heart into getting yardage. He brings a lot of energy to the offense, something we desperately needed. Watching 2 more years of Woodson to Lane and Woodson to Wolf s going to be a lot of fun. Throw a healthy Newman Williams in there with some more catches and that is a nice combination.

Good for us.Just a suggestion, you may want to place an IMHO every now and then in your posts lest you sound like an ass. Interesting you brought up Chapman - you touted him for 9 months and what happened - disaster. I do hope the kid gets it together.Anyhow - we are all Zips fans - bring home the Wheel! Few to none, here, expresses a remotely humble opinion, so why bother feigning false humility?People said Woodson was a disaster, last year. I doubt Chapman's career as a Zip is over, he just needs to grow. Kids adapt to Div 1 football at different rates, IMHO. And, by the way, I didn't tout him for 9 months, I said let's get give him a chance...and that probably started over the summer. Was I hopeful? Sure, most of us were. If you go back to last year, I was always a big Woodson fan and hoped that his decision-making would improve as he seemed to do a far better job developing a rhythm with the offense than Pohl did.Anyhow - we are all Zips fans - bring home the Wheel! Agreed!

Below is a quote from you prior to spring ball (there are many more): 'Hard to recruit top notch QB's when you have been the perennial cellar dwellers. Teams collect them like a dog collects fleas. Look how many we have that will never see the field. Let's hope that Chapman takes us to the next level so we can get better recruits at that position in the future.' Like I said, I think many were hopeful, and why wouldn't we be hopeful that a four star recruit might work out. Like I said, it might not be all over for him, either. You never know. Anything can happen. But, if it makes you feel better to try to create a narrative about me, be my guest. I guess I would rather be the one critiqued for consistent optimism, than the ones revered for complaining about the sky falling all season, during our best season since 2005.After all, you were the one who said, "From what I've seen, Lane is more of a liability than an asset on offense right now despite his performance yesterday. Throw to Wolf and give Senior Pratt some looks. "

I stand by my comments on Lane (I don't shirk them like you do) that were made early in the season (I also held out hope for him) as our QB's were looking too much at Lane to the exclusion of the other receivers. This made it too easy for defenses. At the time, Lane was also having trouble with his route running and blocking. Lane is effectively a Junior now, and has a year under his belt at receiver. He has come a long way. I'm happy to hear he is embracing the position, and if he keeps at it he could be really good. As much as our other receivers had been dropping the ball, I'd be looking for new options, too. Davis improved at being more consistent on catches and Goodman to some degree, before his injury. I don't disagree with your comments about where Lane still needs to improve and I have advocated for working him in as he progresses, to the chagrin of others, here, too. However, to characterize him as a liability, would be a remark you should run from, but go ahead and stick to it if you want.
