ROCK1
Most papers have an 11PM deadline for stories.
ZippyRulz
So you put a blurb on the front page stating Akron is playing late...full coverage to follow Monday. The website is 24/7 so what is the excuse for burying it there?

No excuse not to have something on the website.
Balsy
Most papers have an 11PM deadline for stories.I wonder if whenever State Ohio University, or the Browns play a night game if there isn't coverage on almost all of the sports section/in the paper. I think we already know the answer to that question.
Dave in Green
LeBron's new shoe intro and Browns coverage pretty much sucked all the air out of today's ABJ's sports coverage. There's precious little about the Zips' big win.
Jrship35
LOL .......... If I may:Screw the ABJ (or whatever it's called) and attendance .............. BEAT OHIO !!!!HAHAHA
zipsoutsider
Yes. Ball State was a tale of two halves. Hopefully, he will be more prepared for the defensive adjustments he will face this yearI think having more long ball threats that can flat out run the coverage will also make a difference. You line up both Young and Lane and I think it will take exceptional talent to cover them.Re: ABJ, did George Thomas even go to LA? I always liked Marla's articles better, anyway. I wish she would write about the Zips, again. She seems to be primarily covering the Browns and OSU.
Dr Z
Congratulations to Michael Buddenberg, he was named MAC Special Teams Player of the Week. The Zips' two-year long snapper recorded his first stat as he recovered a Louisiana fumble following a punt in the second quarter. The recovery gave the Zips the ball back to close out the first half and take away the Cajuns' opportunity to tie the game before halftime.Like I have stated in other threads, keep your eye on the offensive player of the week. Bowling Green's QB Matt Johnsoncontinues to rewrite the school's record books as he went 43-for-59 for 402 yards passing and a touchdown on Saturday in a 35-28 road win at Purdue. Johnson, who has passed for more than 400 yards in four consecutive weeks, became the first player in Bowling Green's 96-year history to ever have four 400-yard passing games in a career. Get ready for this guy Zips! Rated 25th in the NFL draft now. ...and according to EA of the PD, he could get a sixth year next year!?! Small Akron tidbit included in the EA above linked piece. Here's a look at some other developments after Week 4. Discover, Akron (2-2): Sophomore quarterback Tommy Woodson proved he was the right man against Louisiana-Lafayette with his three-touchdown performance in the Zips second straight win of the season. The party line is Woodson had to lose some weight to play. He's now down to 228 from 258. Still, Woodson did not suddenly lose 30 pounds during the three-week Tra'Von Chapman fiasco.
