UAZipster0305
http://www.collegesoccernews.com/index.php/articles/836-csn-s-bracketologist-issues-first-projections-of-the-2015-ncaa-tournament-fieldWe are currently projected as the #3 seed. I'd love to get OSU at home again; they won't get lucky again and can't beat us with our improved line-up.If we win out, I think we at least get a top for seeding, which is all that matters. TennZip
I saw that earlier in the week. It is way too early to even speculate about that. There is still a ton of soccer to be played. When the ACC teams start beating up on each other, at least 1 or 2 of them will drop. Zips just have to keep winning one game at a time and they will be well positioned ...come tournament time.

It's nearly a wash.Sure, lots of soccer yet to be played, but it would not surprise me to see things at the end of the season similar to how they are projected here. fknbuflobo
For the CSN projection to come to fruition, for Akron to gain a top 4 seeding, they must accomplish these four things:NOT lose the rest of the way; a draw or two can be sustained providing the other criteria are met. Beat Michigan State. Beat UCLA. Win the MAC bid.Accomplish all these four and the Akron Zips will hosts until Kansas City!

We are fortunate to have the only two truly difficult remaining matches in Michigan State and UCLA at home. All the tough road games to start the season could have been disastrous, but I think it has been a major factor in determining the potential of this season. TennZip
If Creighton wins out and beats Georgetown in regular season and the tournament, they will be a top 4 seed. Akron has already dropped to #5 this week in the Gaucho Dan RPI.I am hoping that UCLA can knock off Stanford tonight. If Stanford wins out the rest of the way, the NCAA will want to have a west coast team as a top 4 seed. Stanford is the only team that would be deserving if they win out (they are #3 in the coaches poll). I am not 100% convinced that Akron will be a top 4 seed if Creighton and Stanford win out ...as well as Akron winning out. Akron needs UCLA to at least win one match against Stanford and for Georgetown to win at least once against Creighton. I like this Akron team.....and I think they will do their part and finish strong.
bigzipguy
UCLA lost at home to Stanford 2-1. Bruin goal late was denied to a questionable offside call.
Zip_ME87
As someone already stated, there is a lot of soccer yet to be played. I prefer to do as the Zips should be doing, take it ONE GAME at a time. None of our MAC foes can be taken lightly. They and every team that plays us sees the target on our backs. All the matters at the moment is Northern Illinois.
Z.I.P.
UCLA lost at home to Stanford 2-1. Bruin goal late was denied to a questionable offside call.Sounds like you saw it too, eh? Very bad call by the 20-something center ref. I thought I read his lips saying, "Sorry" to UCLA coach Salcedo. The player he whistled offside was way out of the play. I'm fascinated by how refs are assigned -- young ref for a key Pac12 men's game here, while the Center ref for Sunday's BWC women's game between Fullerton St. and Hawai'i was veteran MLS ref Baldomero Toledo!! In any case, The young Bruins continue looking at the tournament from the outside. They will be hungry when they travel to Akron, so Zips team better not have a let down. Not hard scoring goals off their central defense, but they as usual have very dangerous scorers in Abu Dunladi and the German import.
