TennZip Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 I like this team's focus -one game at a timeit was great to see the goals that came off deflections. Richie's speed was really hard for NIU to deal with and Adam made some nice runs.Jake had one great save in the first half. Victor's goal was beautiful. Some nice give and go passing.. Brad, Danilo, Andrew solid in the back.it is great that Adam, Richie, Sam and Paul got 25 minutes of rest and that Victor, Goncalo, Danilo, Andrew and Brad got 20 minutes of rest.Always great to get playing time for the future zip starters like Alonzo Clarke and Ezana Kahsay. Was Pau playing right side forward? Goncalo and Pau both in the game seemed to work well tonight. Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 All the goals were excellent, but Victor's was beautiful, ~38 seconds into the updated (today) video highlights: Thanks Zips Athletics for updating the highlights to include that goal. Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 I guess you can't have "victory" without Victor. From Ohio.com......Four minutes later, junior midfielder Victory Souto lined a goal into the right side of the net to make it 2-0. ... 1 Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) I love Souto's goal from distance. That is what he is attempting every time he blasts one into the Softball diamond. God knows we have seen that more than twice. Keep shooting, Victor!Zips' fourth goal (Richie's third) was exquisite. The video barely catches Gainford's one-touch assist at about 01:30. What the video misses is that this was the culmination of a text-book build-up to Gainford's dish. I counted five consecutive one-touch/two-touch passes leading to Laryea's score. The last pass from Gainford was perfect, professional level. It has been years since Zips have dominated an opponent like they did Huskies. Edited October 19, 2015 by fknbuflobo Quote
