fknbuflobo
Since no one else wants to mark this occurence......Zips man-handled the Falcons.Only threat BG could muster was from set pieces, but #18 Jacob Roth is a Free Kick specialist. Kid kept serving in plum after plum.Laryea earned yet another stupid Yellow Card. I have no words. Brightest spot was Alonzo Clarke going full 90 at CB. If all he was doing was filling in, then coaches would have played him on outside. Seems he has turned some corner. His passing forward was crisp and incisive. There is still work to do, but Clarke looks to have an important future in Akron. Edited November 8, 2015 by fknbuflobo
SBZipfan
Congrats to the Zips on another MAC title! Regarding Laryea's yellow, If I understand the rules correctly, he will have to sit another game if he gets two more yellows (in different games). Not good! TennZip
David Suntup on the video said that Embick told him...that he was letting Danilo Radjen recover from an unspecified injury for one more game and that Danilo would be ready for the MAC tourney. That being said, I was very glad to see Coach Embick give Alonzo Clarke the opportunity as a center back. For whatever reason, Brad and Andrew have not clicked this year as center backs. Andrew has really done well on the outside ....shutting down the outside forwards and he has done well on the offensive side.I also was quite impressed with how well that Alonzo Clarke played. I think that he is going to be a major contributor for the zips.Stuart Holthusen was one of the few bright spots in the UCLA game as he stepped up in Richie's absence and he seemed to carry his confidence forward into the BG game. Like many others on this board, I am so happy with the tremendous strides that Victor Souto has made this year. Victor's passion and will to win is unmatched. He plays an unsung position but his value to the team can not be understated. I hope that Victor can help share some of the many things that he has learned with Richie Laryea to help Richie stay yellow card free....the remainder of the year

Zip_ME87
Good news is that the MAC Tourney counts as post season. So, Caution Accumulation before sitting out a game has increased to 8. Bad news is Richie has 6. Three other Zips have 3. So, they now have 5 to give.Richie went through a stretch of 6 matches, Georgetown through UCSB, this season with no yellow cards. Let's hope he can at least match that starting this Friday.
