TennZip Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 http://www.gozips.com/sports/msoc/2015-16/releases/20151112qtxsnofirst off, I am very happy for the 8 young men selectedand now, I am going to rant....Victor Souto is one of the best 11 soccer players in the MAC. It is an absolute disgrace that he was not selected for the first team and it is unconscionable for him not to show up even on the 2nd team.Holding midfielder is not the most glamorous position but Akron would not be #4 in the RPI without Victor. I know that the players don't have time to read what the fans have to say but I greatly appreciate and respect the heart, the skill, the passion, the competitiveness that Victor brings to this team.Victor was the player on the Brazil trip that talked the most about bringing a 2nd star back to Akron. I am very happy that Victor is part of the Akron soccer family and I sincerely hope that he gets some All American recognition since the MAC coaches obviously have their own agendas.I know that Victor would much rather have a national championship than Individual glory but this all league team is a joke. 3 Quote
fknbuflobo Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Victor Souto should be on the First Team! In the MAC? Seriously? This is a traveshamockery!#8 will show his quality this weekend. Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) Totally agree about Victor. What a travesty. Of note: in 2010, Scott Caldwell was not on either All MAC team. Moron MAC.Cicerone player of the year. Over Richie Laryea, Adam Najem, Sam Gainford? Yeah, right. Also, Coach Embick not MAC Coach of the Year? Who else in the MAC had the balls to put together such a tough schedule and then navigate through it so well? These Zips have come a long way from what we saw in 2014. Others hope and dream. AKRON DOES! Go Zips! Edited November 13, 2015 by Zip_ME87 1 Quote
