bobbyake
That last interception wasn't his fault. That pass was perfect. The Browns' o-line is horrible. And the holding calls,,,,,, The refs gave the game to the Saints.
msopher
Just ran for a TD...Announcer..."Charlie Frye, the Akron Zip, zipping it along." Charlie didn't look good. Granted, some receivers dropped a few balls and the O-line was beyond horrible, but Fyre still has to prove himself that he is starting material. Valpo Zip
Frye is starting material and besides the Interception pass, he did a great job. He rushed and passed behind a horrible OL. Droughns was a joke...a bad one. Northcut dropped a 30 yards pass. Edwards gave away an easy pass to an interception.Jurevicius (did he even play? )All that and we still were close and the game was winnable if only we had any running game at all.The only good things were Frye and Winslow.P.S: I don't get some of these calls, just because KW is big, does that allow the deffenders to beat him up without getting called for illegal contatct? sgm405
I must've been watching a different game, because I didn't think Frye looked good at all, regardless of who was around him. I'm not saying he's not starting material, or that he's not going to work out...but to say he played well - I think - is a stretch.
Zip_ME87
Charlie played well at times and not at others. Given the non-existent o line and the mostly poor play calling, he did well. If this keeps up, though, I'm afraid he's going to get hurt. Valpo Zip
Ok ... i see what you all are saying but help me out by answering these questions:1- did we have a running game at all ?2- did we have an O-line ?3- did we have a monster receiver getting open and catching every ball flying around?4- did the refs give us a break ?5- did we have a TD punk return ?My answer is no for all of these questions... so how did we mannage staying in the game till last 2 minutes and scoring 2 TDs ? UADavid
Do we have a competent offensive coordinator?Carthon sucks! He sucked last year too.

He was not good today. Will Browns have a high pick next year? I wonder what position they address? They got outcoached today. Their game plan sucked eggs.I'm not making an excuse for Frye, but my game plan would have been different to help out the QB.
GoZips88
NO o-line and play calling that doesn't seem to take into account WE HAVE NO O-LINE! Plays are blowing up way to early. It took holding to give Charlie the time to find the wide open Edwards in the first series of the game. How can we pass judgement on Charlie until he's given the time better o-lines are giving their QBs? It's great that Charlie can make things happen on a scramble now and then but he shouldn't have that opportunity as often as he does. Very frustrating up on the lake right now. bobbyake
Fyre is the guy for this Offense. The Browns would do a lot worse with a pocket quarterback, a sack every play. They need a quarterback that can move around and avoid the 3 or 4 man pass rush that gets in because the 0-line is as good as Can't's. Fyye threw some solid passes. The INT looked bad, but he's young.
Zip_ME87
The problem is that we hold on to our "loyalties" and overlook "reality" Why shouldn't I be loyal to a fellow Alum? Something wrong with that? He's young and on a team that has very little playing time together...2 star receivers with little NFL experience (and coming off injuries), an O-line that has had 9 centers so far this year, and Moron..I mean Maurice..Carthon running the offense.I agree totally that Carthon knows there are problems on the O-line. He should have plays in place to deal with it.
Sergeant Zip
The problem is that we hold on to our "loyalties" and overlook "reality"Reality is when your quarterback is your leading rusher with 44 yards, you have other problems than just quaterback play. ZachTheZip
Did anyone else notice the Ref's accent? It was obvious he was from New Orleans, or somewhere where they speak creole.
