I stopped by for the 2nd half of the Wright St. game and Andrew Sounders was playing up in the midfield.  Anyone have any insights on why he was playing?  Just to help out with depth playing 2 games on a toasty spring day?  Was wondering if he may become a graduate assistant in the fall since he chose to pursue his graduate degree rather than a soccer career.

Souders played just to round out the split squad. He almost scored!?

My understanding s that Andrew will go to grad school at Ohio State.

the newspaper covering the new york red bulls...has another article that mentions Adam....and I really like Adam's post above (thanks, Nate for posting)

In some possibly more positive news for the Red Bulls, Adam Najem is not going to Europe, at least for the moment that is. Najem was reportedly leaving Akron after his junior to pursue opportunities in Europe, however, this appears to have come to nothing. Then, on Saturday, Najem reappeared, standing in street clothes at a Zips spring game. In tweets that have since been deleted, local Akron sports reporters stated that Najem will be returning to the Zips for the 2017 season. The tweets' deletion leaves Najem's status still up in the air, but it appears he is leaning towards a return to the States.

That would be returning for 2016 season (not 2017).

Looks like the Spring matches on May 1st are not both in Cincinnati. The match vs the Dayton Dynamo is at Wright State University according to the Dayton Dynamo website.

That explains the 5 hour start time difference.

That's exactly why I went looking. The 5 hours didn't make sense to me if the games were at the same location. Why is it so difficult for Sean Palchick (Assoc Director for Communications for Zips Mens Soccer) to provide this information? Why did I have to go looking for it? :tomato::wall:

Stuart must still be injured?  Ezana has done well in the spring

Stuart is still out, but I don't know details of his injury.

Niko DeVera was out

Robby Dambrot out

Adi Dakwar out

Adam Najem is still visiting

On a side note, I heard that Ohio State was beaten by the Crew Reserves 6-1, or some such score. I couldn't confirm, though, since I couldn't find results on their website.

After looking further, I found that Notre Dame tied the Crew, 1-1.  http://www.und.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/040116aaa.html

The Zips were impressive today. Very nice win to closeout a fun Spring Exhibition season.

Great talking with Eric Stevenson, too.
