Chrisj0384
Hey I was just wondering how much we have to pay to go to the Can't football game. Thanks
UAZipster0305
It should be free if you ask me because I'm partial to organizing everyone to not go to the UA-Can't State game because this only helps with their revenue and attendance problems. UA should sell ticket for the JAR and put the game on a big screen or the scoreboard's video scoreboard! That would be really impressive if the Nation could organize that.Again,

UAZipster0305
We would be supporting them and UA by buying tickets to watch in the JAR. It would be a total slap in the face to Can't as well. Against Can't, I don't think the team needs our support in person. That's one game I'm not worried about us winning this year. I just think it would be a huge slap to them if we filled the stadium, and watched our team beat their ass in their own stadium.
UAZipster0305
I guess it's just a difference of opinion. I'd rather not provide Can't with the revenue and attendance as these are things that would only fuel their program to improve.

Kangaroo Craig
Go watch the game at Can't. Their fans have shown, to some extent, that they will return the favor every other year when the game is at Akron. There would have been more of their fans, and ours last year if our athletic department would have scheduled that game at the beginning of the season instead of Thanksgiving. I was there, but I am a die hard like everyone else on this board. We do not represent the average fan. Winining is starting to change that though and that's a good thing. zipsbandman
Go to the game! That's a horrible idea. I really want us to overwhelm them at their house. I remember seeing Akron/Can't basketball games at the JAR when half the place was full of Can't fans. Luckily that's changing, but let's totaly humiliate them. bobbyake
how could you pass up a chance to see the Zips live in action. Are you out of your mind??????????
GoZips88
My son, daughter and I will be at the Can't game courtesy of free tickets given to us by a (the?) Can't season ticket holder. I'm not spending a dime on concessions 'cause I tend to agree that every dollar spent there is a dollar towards their program. Guess I'll have to pay to park though. I wish FSN was not televising the game. It's going to cause a certain number of fence-sitters on both sides to stay home. Oh well. Anything short of an annihilation will be disappointing. powerofx
Go support the team when you can. Nothing is better than beating your biggest rival on their turf. When I was in undergrad at XU winning at UC in hoops was always the best.
zipseuph
I think that if you ever have a chance to go to your teams game you should. It's even better when you can go into your rivals house out number them and start the "this is our house" chant. as far as saying we are going to kill Can't without problem all I have to say is 1) This is the MAC anything can happen2) You can never count out your rivals. even if it is Can't state3) I'll give you all one guess as to who is superstitious on this board4) if we have the chance to give our team a home field advantage on the road we should take it
Balki Bartokomous
2 years ago students got in for free with a zip card. we returned the favor to them. maybe it will happen again this year. though they treated akron students like shit and marched us around the stadium before settling on shoving us in the endzone. freaking nazis. roodi
What's all the hostility toward Can't State? Okay, fine, it's the whole "We've got grass and trees" mantra from the past, right? The Can't football program is, without a doubt, awful. They suck. Okay. I get it. The rivalry between UA and Can't State is fun, but it would be better if Can't were better. Therefore, I don't get all the hostility. You want to stir things up? Try talking trash with guys from Miami, CMU, or any other decent MAC school. Verbally abusing Can't at this point is like the Varsity football player kicking the 7th grader around after school. It proves what exactly? By all means, go to the game in Can't. Cheer on the Zips. Enjoy the victory and feel proud that you're a Zip, keeping in mind, of course that using the word "we" is a relative thing. Are WE really responsible for the outcome of these games? Be a good fan. Don't pick a weak enemy to ridicule. The tables turn very quickly in the MAC.Why am I on the fence here? See below:BS in English-Education from Can't State University 1991 MA in English from The University of Akron - 1996 I love both universities. So, there. Call me what you will.Go Zips!!!! Pray for the flushes
Dr Z
A football fall evening AT Can't where there will be more Akron fans than Can't fans and people are considering NOT going? You HAVE to out of your minds. If you think purchasing a ticket and a hot dog is going to turn around Can't's football team you ARE out of your mind. sgm405
Are you guys kidding me? I want that to turn into a home game for Akron. That's how many Akron fans I want to see there. That would be the biggest slap in the face to them, to take over their own stadium. So what if they make a lil money from our game...do you really think more attendance for one game is going to change their program?
scottditzen
It's no fun having your rival be such a terrible team for so long. I'm on the verge of putting together a petition urging the administration at Can't State to invest in the footbal team!!!
