What kind of crowd do you think we'll see at the bowl this weekend? Since N. Texas will probably only bring about a hundred or so this far north, it's gonna be all Zips fans in the count. After NC State the community was pretty excited and I would put the number at around 22k. After that embarrassment last week (yes, I know CMich is a good MAC team but when the average fan hears the name it's like "Akron lost to Central Who???"), I think we're going to be down around 15-18k.

Its going to depend some on the weather (as it always does around here). I still think the 15-20K range should be easily met. I've talked to quite a few people on campus who are looking to go. If we get a halfway decent day weather wise I'd expect the Bowl to be pretty full.

SATURDAY:Showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 70s. Chance of rain 60 percent. SATURDAY NIGHT:Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. lows in the lower 60s.10-12K-ish in the rain; 15-20K if no/very limited threat of rain. Casual Akron fans melt in the rain, remember?

expect over 20,000. You'll see that the family pack for $99 did wonders. I hope they will remove that tarp in the end zone so the students can take there chances jumping around over there, just take the bleachers out if they're broke.

Not a bad idea, but you would also have to remove the metal supports that I believe are concreted in (not cheap & easy like unbolting the broken seats). You would end up either standing the whole game or sitting on the concrete steps that remain (if the concrete doesn't fall through either  )

Chance of rain 60 percent.Ooh, latest forecast has bumped the chance of rain up from 40% to 60% for Saturday night. Still sticking with my 10-12K due to rain.

I convinced my family to get a family pack of tickets this year, for the first time ever. They bought it last week, and we were informed that we would be receiving a free stadium blanket. That's great for me and my family, but then I realized that means that less than 1500 season ticket packages have been sold up to last week.

This game is going to be the bands in the bowl game where all of the high school bands come and play along. I don't know if they will count all of them (1,000 +) or not but eather way the parents will come to watch there kids on a "big college" field so make sure to count that into your predictions.

does anyone know how many seats (roughly)are actually going to be covered up.is there any plans if we don't get a new stadium to do anything with the sections?i would think it would cost way to much to do anything at all with the rubber bowl at this point. i know some mac teams have re-done the stadiums in the past, but none were as bad as the rubber bowl is now.

Showers and a few thunderstorms likely. High 76F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%. Rainfall near a half an inch.Chance of :CK_brew: 100%15k sounds like a good guess to me. We have some LOUSY luck with the weather lately.

I had heard they were over 1,500 already a couple of weeks ago. Not 100% certain though. 1,500 is still about 250 more than last year. Tha blanket give away is just a fire sale they are having to clear inventory.
