Z-P
Man oh man I'd like them to all be W's, but with this Jeckle & Hyde of a team, how the hell can you predict?

If it's more of the same, my predictions stand.

RACER
hopefully 4-3. i think cinnci is going to be a hard fought game ;which could go either way.really it all depends on which zips team shows up.still 6-6 season would be a disappointment ,and step back considering all the guys we had coming back.there is no reason we cannot beat miami,bg,ohio, buffalo.cinnci, toldeo, western are all going to be tuff. toledo is down this year so maybe that will help. UAZipster0305
I think the WMU game will be tougher than Toledo; however, we could easily lose to both. Cincy and Ohio are two other games that we could lose although I think the team has the potential to win out. @ Cincinnati WMiami W@ Toledo WBowling Green WBuffalo W@ Ohio WWestern Michigan WBecause I've got to believe, 9-3 (6-2) and we lose out on a trip to the MAC Championship game b/c of the tie breaker goes to Can't in head-to-head. Damn those flushes.I still think
K-Roo
As a long time fan, who endured the Dennison to Faust fiasco and the Lee Owens regime, here is my perspective on the season thus far and on the JD era in general:Unlike previous coaches, JD fields a competitive team that rarely gets blown out (I give a pass on the 1st season) and competes to the end.Last season was great. But a surprise to all of us .. and even to JD -- he had to set new and higher goals this season -- he figured 4-5 years before competing for a MAC Championship. We are on the way but there are gong to be bumps in the road along the way. We have a lot of young or inexperienced skill position players on the field -- they are learning.I try not to get too excited when something good happens (NC State) and not too depressed when something bad occurs (Can't). The Zips always lose one or two they shouldn't and win one or two they aren't supposed to... It usually balances out. I would not be surprised if the Zips come out on fire and blast Cincy after being embarassed at Can't last week. JD will not allow us to fold it up and go home.I would not be surprised to see the following:@ Cincinnati W 3-3 (0-2)Miami W 4-3 (1-2)@ Toledo W ***this is one we should lose but I think win -- see above***5-3 (2-2)Bowling Green W 6-3 (3-2)Buffalo W 7-3 (4-2)@ Ohio L *** this is one we should win but might lose --see above*** 7-4 (4-3)Western Michigan toss up 8-4 (5-3)Final Record 8-4 (5-3) if we execute 9-3 (6-2) French says being bowl eligible is the key now.... 32 bowl games need 64 teams. If you drop out the worst 40 or so.... Zips could be in the thick of bowl season somewhere.... Can't will stumble somewhere along the way... they can no longer sneak up on anybody.@ Temple W (Show up collect W and go home) 4-2 (3-0)Toledo L 4-3 (3-1) flushes are full of themselves now and believing the clippings. Rockets are still the class of the conference.. .we all want to be Toledo....Ohio W 5-3 (4-1) Maybe Bobcats pull an upset --- nah@ Buffalo L 5-4 (4-2) **Buffalo came close at NIU and BG... tough at home. flushes drop this one or OU...especially if Toledo spanks them.@ Virginia Tech L 5-5 (4-2) in a laugher Hokies by 30.Eastern Michigan W 6-4 (5-2) EMU has played tough in the past@ Ball State L 7-5 (5-3) Ball State is never a gimme at home (unless you are NDSU) -- We found out last year-- flushes turn this year
Dr Z
@ Cincinnati LMiami W@ Toledo LBowling Green WBuffalo W@ Ohio WWestern Michigan WI agree with Rasor's picks. As with any football picks, how can I predict what kind of football team the Zips will be when they play Toledo? For that matter, what kind of team will Toledo be then? If we can't beat K.S.U at K.S.U, how will we beat Toledo at Toledo? One thing I do know without any predicting

msopher
With the way our offense has been playing, as long as you guys hit 7 points, you'd probably win in Toledo.

Wally B
As a long time fan, who endured the Dennison to Faust fiasco and the Lee Owens regime, here is my perspective on the season thus far and on the JD era in general:Ahhh yes, I miss the Dennisson era too. JD is building us back to that point but it will take some time, and a new stadium to help (re)build our fan base wont hurt either. I was really impressed w/ the student section at the NT game, i fondly remember being one of 10, yes 10 students who showed up for a game in the Faust era. I also believe the Can't loss could have been a good thing. It keeps our new found (and deserved) ego in check (wake up call??) and reved up THE rivalry for the first time in years. Who knows, maybe this year will spark an actual Cant fan base , and i agree that we have a lot of new players gaining new skills in the process ala Can't State2005. The rest of the year is a toss up but i am confident that JD will make the right choices towards building a good team for the long run, not sacraficing everything to win now. The Can't game was an off day, CMich was reality, and NCSU is things to come Rest of the season: Cincy is a toss up and the NMich Browncows are a lot better than any of us realize. The rest of the games are winnable, but loseable too. In the end i still see us w/ a winning record and being bowl eligible. Now actually making a bowl well................ win or lose
