Captain Kangaroo
For as much ridicule as the football schedule received this season, I'm surprised no one is bitching about the atrocious hoops schedule. One D-1 home game through December 18th. K.e.n.t on a Wednesday night?
Dan Kadar
I'm not concerned with who the beginning of the season home games. The three-game swing on the road against Niagara, Oral Roberts and Binghamton worry me a little. Binghamton is better than people think and Niagara and Oral Roberts are both pretty good. I'll be thrilled if the Zips go 2-1 in those three games. Blue & Gold
Lousy schedule. What happened to us supposedly scheduling games against Miss.Valley CAA and Atlantic-10 teams (Duquesne doesn't count!)? Is there any chance starting home-and-home rivalries with some of these programs? Screw the Big Ten and ACC! Who needs 'em?!?!
Z-Pouch
If we can win a couple out of the gate at the CBE tourney, the schedule will look a lot better. It's weak right now and playing a lot of mid major games on the road which could result in some damaging loses. I also wonder if these higher mid major road games will help our RPI (with wins) as some articles have suggested. That could be the silver lining. What's it going to take to get decent teams to the Rubber Bowl and Arena in the early portion of the seasons ? It's a tough task and we are not in a position to float big $$$$ in front of them to come. AND even when you do (ie Pitt BB), they still don't come. MRasor0200
Dambrot pushed for MVC opponents and other high-end mid-major matchups. They would accept a home-and-home, but they wanted Game One of the deal at their place. With Romeo and Dru being seniors, Dambrot wants to have some out-of-conference home games.Expect next year's schedule to reflect that. zipboy
I like getting series with the other high majors. Screw the "bigger" schools. I am sick of those 1 for 0 games.
mcperp
Yeah, the home non-conference schedule lacks any sizzle at all. It's the same feeling one might get finding "Weekend at Bernie's 2" for $1.00 in the bottom of the VCR bin at Walmart. It sure would be nice to get corporate sponsorship for a Holiday Classic tournament at the JAR. Possibly get some 2nd tier Big Ten, Big East schools or top Mizzou Valley teams to visit. w00t
Nevada is a nice team to be able to host and it will be a good barometer as to where we are as a team. Most pollsters view Nevada as a Top 25 team. Don't sleep on Loyola Marymount either, they were a missed layup away from taking down Gonzaga at the buzzer last year... at The Kennel no less. Hopefully we'll draw a good opponent for the Bracket Buster.

If UA gets any 'bounds, they run LMU into the ground, win by 20.
