This season comes down to a final home game against Western Michigan.I just got back late last night from visitng a friend in Tallahassee and i got to see the FSU vs. WMU game first hand. The crowd was pretty bad considering FSU football standards as i exected it to be full but the stadium hold 84,000 or so and i would guess about 75,000 were actually there. The game entertainment is pretty awesome. good music, videos, contests and giveaways. Next week for Florida they are giving away 25,000 foam fingers! Anyway, WMU ran the swinging gate play 5 or 6 times during the game in which most were very successfull. they are going to try and spread the field against us. they are a solid team, maybe the most solid team in the MAC. They gave a very GREEN but fast FSU team fits all day. Overall WMU is fast, they do not make many mistakes and play to win the game, not to just compete. They will be a tough test for us this week. Regretfully, WMU over Akron 30-17.Also on a side note i stayed for the FSU vs. New Orelans Basketball game last night. The FSU team is big, fast, strong and can shoot the lights out. They remind me a lot of a bigger Zips team. they have good depth and will try to run opponents out of the gym and love to break to the hoop, draw in the defense, and kick out for the three. They also play a deal or no deal on-court game during halftime sponsored by a bank with a student to win anywhere between $50-$1,000 guaranteed! How cool is that?!It also wasn't much warmer there than it is back home so i was slightly disappointed by that.I thought it would be cool to post this on the board since i will get to see WMU play two weeks in a row. GO ZIPS, prove me wrong!

You do realize we have a game on friday, don't you? This board has been dead. I know a lot of you aren't bandwagon fans.Here's a question; is it worse to have a MAC championship appearance on the line on the morning of thanksgiving in a blizzard or a game the day after thanksgiving at 1 pm with no shot at a title?Yes, it's true we have nothing to play for in terms of title but we can play for the chance of not having a losing record for the first time in 5 years or so!with all that being said i'll take last year's frozen condom bowl anyday!!!at least for a few weeks we are still and as always

As of today...Wednesday...it seems many of the "hardcore" fans still are unaware of the Friday time change. I wonder how many people are going to show up at 1pm for the game? I'm betting quite a few. Oh well...at least they'll be there early instead of late.
