Captain Kangaroo
Today's game has yet to be discussed on the board, which is baffling for a team that 16-4 and playing as well as we are. Where's the excitement? IMO, Ball State is a very dangerous team. We need to come out ready to play today or John Thompson's kid could notch the biggest win of his very young coaching career.See you at BW-3's in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. ZachTheZip
I, as a fan, am probably overconfident. Coach Dambrot will not let his team overlook Ball State, especially after the EMU game. That being said, there is no way we lose to a MAC team at home this year under any circumstances.
RowdyZip
I hope no one else out there is feeling like I am. It's FREEZING and the game's on tv...i'm awful tempted to stay home. That being said, after driving to EMU wednesday and getting out of work early to see this one, I'll see you all from behind the hoops. GO ZIPS!!!! ZachTheZip
I doubt that anyone even knows that it is on TV. I didn't see any advertisements and I didn't hear anything on the radio, so who knows? Oh, and if you think is is cold out today, just wait. GoZips88
Nice turnout today. If I were the athletic department, I'd let younger (under 12?) in free EVERY game. You'll sell at least one parent ticket and maybe two. Toss in some concession stand business and I gotta believe the U makes money on the freebie that walked through the door. It also preps future generations of Zip students/fans. Nice game today - way to go Zips!
zip81
It also preps future generations of Zip students/fans. Nice game today - way to go Zips! Exactly gozips88.Daddy's from Akron. Mommy's from OU. Needless to say, I'm bringing them up the right way! I did feel a bit sorry for the female cheerleaders who take prizes into the stands for the spirit contest. I thought the one holding the Crunch Bar was going to get mugged. Then, when she let it go, there were about 20 kids holding on to it. They had to bring the ushers in to break it up. To quote one great police sgt., "let's be careful out there!"

You shouldn't need to give away freebies for a 1st place 17-4 team.Freebies for a Ball State or EMU game is fine. It was nice to have the kid's energy in the building. There's no way you give away tickets for the OU or Austin Peay game. Unless you just don't like revenue.
exexec
Maybe let em free with a few minutes left before tip off depending on seat availibility?? Just a thought

Targeting certain games that may not be much of a draw (2500-3000) would be more like it. It (free if wear a jersey) seemed to work well for yesterday's game against Ball State. OU, Can't, BracketBuster - no way.
