Wow. And here I was expecting a Myspace or Facebook page, but he actually has his own registered URL. Impressive. If this guy is even half of what they make him out to be, he will be a huge addition to the Zips and should hopefully carry on the momentum that Dru Joyce and Romeo Travis have brought to the program.

If this kid can contribute and if Bardo is ready to put in some minutes we may be able to make up for Travis' departure. That's assuming Wood takes on a leadership role on the team. It will be interesting to see what this Stewart kid brings to the table. I know the Can't team this year has a lot of contributing underclassmen.

From Stephen's website:Thursday, June 22, marked the end of a three-week period of self-reflection. Over the three weeks, I thought and prayed for a decision about my future. I searched through all my options and found that both academically and athletically, the University of Akron is the home for me. The decision came with the help of my parents; my high school coach, Jim Nesser; my trainer, Mike Trenski; my high school teachers; and, of course, the Lord above. I know this is the place for me, and I cannot wait to be a "Zip" under Coach Dambrot and his awesome basketball staff.

ZBM-- his name is STEWARD. He is rated as the 2nd best guard in Ohio.
And the #1 point guard! We really need him to contribute immediately next year to free up Dials and Middleton to be the 2G.But Swiech is HUGE!!! Holy Moses!!! And from all I hear he is a top-shelf, first-class person as well! I think he's going to really enjoy his time here and he may end up being the next dominant player in the MAC! Here's to Swiech working hard, having FUN, making friends, getting a good education and making a NATIONAL name for himself and the Zips!

how tall is this guy now, because i went to his site an it says he is 6'8 but on scout i believe it said he was 6'10 now. I seen the pic of him standing with ron artest of the kings, and he is taller then him.
I think he's 6' 10" right now, and still growing. Expected to top out in the 7' range.

Our version of a Nick Fazekas? Totally agree with CK that someone with the numbers/size/enthusiasm/desire that Swiech appears to have can carry a MAC team a long way. Put a couple of talented pieces around him like Nevada has done (Sessions. Shiloh) and look out. I can't wait to see him on the floor in Akron Blue and Gold!
