timmyboy
Just read an article about him, he has his top schools down to 5 and Akron is included. but the bad news is it says he will be narrowing his list down to 2 schools very soon, and the front runners look to be Ohio State and Notre Dame. hopefully this report is wrong, but i dont see us grabbing this guy...... oh well, we still have hope for his fellow HS teammate, T. Hill who is a standout LB who has offers from alot of bigger schools, but likes akron alot because of the staff and facilities he said. eguins
You have no chance of this guy, he is going to Notre Dame with his brother Kyle. If you read BuckNuts, you would know this info.... And he may have you on the last 5 list, just because he hasn't received many offers from real big schools with the exception of ND and OSU.You have no chance at Taylor Hill either, he is likely going to be heading to LSU or OKLAHOMA with his fellow teammate Brandon Beachum, who is rated the #1 Linebacker in the USA. Indians06
Hill is a lock for OU, Stoops is a Youngstown local and donated field turf to Cardnial Mooney H.S. Stoops, Tressel and Carr have the Mahoning Valley a lock down.

Rivals has him listed as a RB (4 star) scout has him listed as a RB also ( 3 star)neither Rivals.com or scout.com have OKL. as a school that has offered beachum, but they have offered Hill and mccarthy.Oh and you say that not many big schools have offered mcarthy...LSU, Michigan, ND, OSU, OKlahoma, Stanford, Penn State, Boston College and UCLA have all offered him

eguins
Reading the posts from our Youngstown buddies, I now understand why this Mahoning Valley icon was consistently re-elected... I never voted for that man, but boy he should never have gotten the # of years he has in prison.Do you really think he deserves 8 years! It's crazy! He is the reason we have a new 6000 seat Chevy Centre Downtown, he is the reason we have all these new bridges getting redone in Youngstown, he is the reason we have a new terminal at the airport, he is the reason we have the brand new 711 connector freeway connecting Youngstown to I-80 and Rt. 11.These Mooney kids will not be going to Akron or any MAC school; but keep your eyes on a kid by the name of Justin Brown over at Mooney's rival Ursuline. I heard he may have an offer from Akron. He is a big TE and his brother was a star at YSU.

eguins
He won't turn down Oklahoma or LSU for AKRON. He may like your facility, your indoor one that is-----but the Rubber Bowl is a different story. Contract Gary Housteau at BuckNuts.com and ask him; he'll tell you how it is all going down.Justin Brown-Ursuline-TE is a Youngstowner you can watch.McCarthey is going to Notre Dame. My BAD! Indians06
Reading the posts from our Youngstown buddies, I now understand why this Mahoning Valley icon was consistently re-elected... Hmm lets see we supported a man who stuck up for the people in his own area. He would not allow government foreclosures on valley residents while he was a sheriff in Mahoning County because the steel mills were closing. Saved a German mans life who was falsely accused by the Israeli government of being Ivan the terrible. Who was the only man to stick up for the poor guy and save his life??? Ohh yes that was Trafficant. Secured grants for major road construction including the new 711 interconnect in Youngstown. Kept the Youngstown Air Base open when the Clinton administration were closing them down left and right. Brought a professional baseball team to the area, brought a $30 million+ Convocation Center to Youngstown. Yea Captain Kangaroo what a terrible guy to elect to office. Your seriously out there man. Read up on the guy do some research before you buy into the liberal media garbage that was put out there on the man. Read how the man was set up by your own government do some research or shut up. Indians06
Tim Ryan is a joke, I know this is not a political fourm but Akron is just as dumb as Youngstown is for voting this loser into office. Can anyone name one thing he has done for the Akron area or Youngstown area??? Or can anyone names one thing he has done besides bash the president???? eguins
Youngstown Mooney LB Taylor Hill, who is rated as the No. 21 prospect amongst Ohio's top 100 senior prospects, has narrowed his college decision down to three schools. In this special from James Hale of OUInsider.com, Hill discusses his favorite schools.

He grew up an ND fan, his family is ND fans, and his brother plays at ND; so expect that. I don't think OSU has any shot at him though.
