Blue & Gold
I was just over on Rivals and saw that we apparently have another verbal from a PG named Alex Sullivan. I think I remember someone on here mentioning him, but I wasn't able to locate the thread when I did a search for it. Does anyone know anything about him? skip-zip
Oh Yes!! I had the inside scoop on this guy months ago, and reported it on here. And quite a few people were questioning the validity of my findings at the time I know some prominent high school sports people up in Lake County, and they told me last spring that he was going to pick Akron. He's a 3rd team All-Ohio selection in D-1 as a JUNIOR. So, he still has one more year of high school to further sharpen his skills. Although I've never seen him play myself, I'm told that he is a lightning quick PG, who is also a scoring machine. For the older Zips fans, maybe an Eric McLaughlin type player (if only he ends of being that good). I think his scoring average his Junior year was already over 25 p/game. Blue & Gold
In signing another sub-6' guard, I'm assuming Darryl Roberts didn't make the grades? If he did, next year that would give us 4 guards under 6' in Roberts, Steward, Humpty and now Sullivan. Even if they all have great game, that seems like a lot of smallish guards for a D-1 b-ball squad. I'm pretty stoked about all of them though! Would you trade them for Treg Lee and Jay Burson? Treg Lee was a Power forward. It wouldn't be an even trade.Jay Burson is probably still wearing that halo thing on his head too.We may have to throw in Ilya McGee, Shawn Roberts and Albert Jones too. Now, say Jimmy Jackson and Lawrence Funderburke. Zip Watcher
Would you trade J. Wood for Bill Robinson?
Buckzip
Not a chance. What a stiff. He looked more like an o-lineman. Wasn't he a Canton guy?I would take Robinson over Klaus Zollner though. :thumb:I would have to throw in Nerim Jumbalai(sic) too. Maybe even Eric McLendon.I know I butchered that spelling. I thought my wife and I were the only ones to remember Nerim Gembolai? Averaged something like 30ppg/15+rpg out of HS. He played 1 game for the Zips before quitting, I believe. zip37
To defeend these sub-6' guards is that they will have to catch them. Roberts grades are OK.With ball ammunition lock and load and, of course;

Captain Kangaroo
I wonder what Alex Sullivan ever did in his life to have his inagural thread hijacked in such an ugly mannner? It must have been pretty bad, whatever it was...
