Any word if they're going to start a bus service at UA?Seems like a long walk from Quaker Square to Olin Hall.Perhaps some type of campus shuttle service would be in order.

Lazy college students. When I was that age I walked 12 miles, uphill both ways, without shoes on a broken glass road. At the end of the road was a lemon juice and salt filled lake that I had to cross.Oh yeah, it was -49 degrees outside and I was naked.

Buckzip  Well, I will say this.....The walks across campus during the winter were pretty bad back in the early 80's, during my time at the U., and we had to wait at stop lights to cross Brown Buchtel and Carroll. But I must say, as the campus expands, those walks are getting much longer. However, since they say that the youth of America is getting more obese, maybe that's a good thing.

I'm a bit surprised that the U doesn't have any plans to use the Quaker facility for their hospitality management program. I thought they might consider keeping one of the restaurants, run by students, open to the public.

That's nothing. I live on Spicer and walk to the CBA and work in National City tower.Actually Quaker to Olin really isn't far at all. And as the campus expands, the cars are getting redirected around students. I can only imagine what it used to be like to have to dodge cars in the center of campus. Also there is a bus route already between Polsky and central campus, so making a bigger loop to Quaker is easy enough I suppose.

I wish I could take one of those up I-77 everyday.Just got back from Disney. Can't imagine why monorails aren't in more cities. It's efficient and doesn't take a lot of space.

That will likely go in the hands of METRO, who, from past experience is not very UA friendly.

I remember my first day of classes in 87. I saw a kid get hit by a car on Buchtel Ave. right in front of the library. Scared me for years. Just to be safe, I avoided the library at all costs.
That's funny in a morbid kind of way. :D
