Indiana vs. Akron In-Game thread

Wow...you guys are all taking things a lot differently than i am. This is a VERY talented zips defense. No doubt the BEST in the MAC. The offense opened things up and is much more difficult to read with Jackson at the helm. The Zips will definitely challenge for a MAC title this year, and will be bowling no doubt. As for that "next step," we'll be waiting till next year or perhaps the first year at infocision. To hang with ohio state and have a GOOD chance at beating Indiana...this shows us we are on the way up still. Hold your heads high, Zips. Hold em high. GO ZIPS!

Um McFly -- how many points did this vaunted defense just give up to Indiana? 41 -- yep this defense is really good. C'mon this team couldn't stop this team when they knew exactly what they were running -- Lewis! This was exactly like last year's Can't game -- my guess is this team is an underdog next week and loses by 7. They just can't stop this kind of offense.

 no, this NOT the best D in the MAC...but lets forget about the SACRIFICE games...hopefully JD has opened his eyes and finally realizes that as some of of us have already said...Jackson is the QB...the season rides on the Can't game...win, the ZIPS have a shot at the East Div...lose and well your season is in the sh....r...hopefully the D got acclimated to a running QB at IU and will be ready for EDELMAN next week...

:mad_flame: screw you guys who are 'waiting for the new stadium' thats at least 2 years away...AND chumps, there is no guarantee that 2 years from now the ZIPS will win anything...i know the pimps in the athletic dept are only biding their time until 2009 because they don't have to pay to go to the games AND are getting paid to pimp out the team and fans now by losing games to OSU, INDIANA etc etc etc...if they stopped sacrificing the 1st half of every season the team might have something left for the REAL games in the MAC...some of you people aren't fans, you are JOHNS

And a big fat "F" you. Get a grip. The Zips are not ready to compete on a week to week basis right now with Big Ten teams. Sink it in your head...i know it's difficult. It has nothing to do with sacrificing the first half of the season. The Zips hung with Indiana for the first half, a true testament to the depth of talent on big ten teams and the accuracy of halftime adjustments. We'll get there. We'll contend for a MAC championship this year. If that's not good enough for you right now, maybe you should go root for another ohio team. :chair::chair::chair::chair::chair::chair:

I'm not sure at this point what some of you are thinking who are predicting MAC titles and bowl appearances. When looking at our schedule, we'll have to beat both Can't AND Ohio at home to even be in the race. Then, if we accomplish that, we'll then have to go beat Miami and BGSU on the road to win the MAC East. The schedule doesn't work very well in our favor for a bowl bid either. If we can win all of our home games, and can win on the road at Buffalo (no easy task this year), we'll still only be a .500 team. And running the table at home includes beating both Can't and Ohio, and the season finale at home against Central Michigan, maybe the best team in either MAC division this year. Bottom Line: We are going to need at least one big road victory just to be bowl eligible.
