skip-zip
Ok...I'll start this. Right now, I'm hoping that we get the same Connecticut team that narrowly escaped losing to Temple at home. If so, we win easily. However, we are coming off of an emotional win, have to travel far for this game, and are a little banged up. But, we'll still pull off our first win against the Alaskan Dogs. Akron - 21Connecticut -
zipboy
CJ plays his best game of the year, UConn proves to be a big challenge but the Zips finally play 4 solid quarters and pull away 28 - 17. The offense line starts opening some holes and BW takes advantage.
RowdyZip
sorry skip-zip. I dropped the ball, i usually start these things up. Busy week at work. Aaaaaaaanyways....I see this game ending a lot like NC State last year...a "BCS" team that is less talented than a lot of folks think and a "BCS"victory hungry zips team. This game will come down to the fourth quarter folks, and if I were a bettin man, i'd take the Zips and those 14 points.Akron 27UCONN
3rd&twenty
I think it's kind of the same situation as last week. Our opponent wasn't as good as THEY thought they were. That's the same feeling I get with UConn. I'll give them Pitt, but their other wins were against nobodies. AKRON - 28UConn -
Let'sGoZips94
Akron 24UCONN 21 Akron wins in OT like Temple almost could have forced.
Bleacher Bum
Well, it wouldn't be a Bleacher Bum prediction if it wasn't a blowout.....Akron 687UCONN 1I know, I know, there's no way to score one point, but the officials will feel so bad for UCONN getting blown out that they will spot them one point. Didn't we miss a chipshot FG or something as time ran out???? Refresh my memory.

From the NCAA rulebook: A team may score 1 point if they return the opposing team's 2pt conversion attempt back for a touchdown. The more you know

I can't remember where I first read that, but it is true.
Zipsrifle
So, the question is now, has any team finished a game with only 1 point? My wife thinks that if you actually accomplish this feat, you should get more than 1 point. In her words: "Thats a lot of running for only 1 point!".
Zippysgotagun
Good catch on that rule...I always thought it was 2 points if you ran an extra point back.
Zipgrad1990
I hope all the positive predictions pan out and I am wrong, but here is my prediction:UConn 24UA -13The Zips still haven't shown a consistent offense, which really concerns me. Plus I believe we will play flat after our emotional win over Can't.Less then 12 hours until kickoff and

Now I'm really interested to see if anyone has ever finished with just one point.
