OldZipper
Congrats to Caleb Porter and the boys for bringing home yet another MAC title. Now it is time to wait and see if they are rewarded by the NCAA committee for their high RPI (12th) and 15-3-2 record. Go Zips!
UAZipster0305
IMO, UA has earned a first round bye and a home game for the second round. Let's hope the selection committee feels the same way. When and where will the bracket be released?

ZachTheZip
Only the top 16 teams get byes. It's gonna be close.Akron's RPI is more than enoug to get a bye. Our ranking should better as well.
UAZipster0305
I think we will end up with anywhere from the 12th to the 16th seed giving us a first-round bye and a second-round home game. I agree, we perhaps deserve a better seed and ranking, but that aspect is beyond control. In the tournament, all that matters is winning the next game. It's a new season. zipboy
Congrats to soccer! Frenchie said the pairing get released at 4 PM tomorrow. I doubt we get a bye and home game. We always get screwed.

GoZips88
I'm in the camp of those who think we'll get the first round bye and 2nd round home game.

OldZipper
Don't hold your breath.National ranking makes it "iffy".Hope for the best. It's all about the RPI. The third one released last week has the Zips at 12, which would put them in a good slot for a bye. The only question is how much these games against low RPI teams NIU and Buffalo hurt them. You are better off losing to a high RPI team than beating a low one.In any case fingers crossed
Captain Kangaroo
I was there today. Great match. Congratulations to the team! 1st round bye and a home game. I'm banking on it.
