Captain Kangaroo
Click Me Of course in the PD, Ellen had to finish his story "The Zips, who were 7-5 last season, were expected to compete for the conference championship." I elected not to post her column...not worth it. Use the MAC link above.
zipper
Big news Captain - very big news. And I agree - who thought we were going to be good this year?? I think a lot of people were advising Charlie to leave just because the cupboard was bare. As it turns out, Brookhart appears to be able to turn athletes into football players. I expected to be 3-8 or 4-7 this year - I guess Elton figured Charlie could do it all by himself.
Zipsrifle
League MVP is All MAC 2nd team..... Hmmmm. My guess is that there was some negotiating going on to get Frye the MVP. I'll take MVP over 2nd team QB. JD, Coach of the year, WOW

Guest Seer
Media votes on the POTY and COTY... Coaches vote on the all-MAC team. Signifiicant bias against the East with both Marshall and UCF leaving this year for CUSA.
GP1
Good Lord this is great news!!!!! Well deserved by both JD and 5. I understand that there are different voting blocks for awards, but I still can't believe the BG QB was named first team all MAC QB. Our best years are ahead of us. zipboy
Interesting in the preseason, Elton picked Akron for 3rd in the East behind Marshall and Miami. Guess he thought they were expected to win it too. Hey, didn't the Beacon guy pick Can't over Akron?
