Here's the problem I had with your topic, aside from it being completely stupid, is the fact that there are only a half dozen posts on here today, and you make that to add to the list. In other words, why couldn't you inject your silly opinion in the game thread where everyone else put their opinions?If you make a new thread, and the 100 other people on this forum who have a more sensible opinion refute you in it, what still ends up happening is your silly thread title is there among the 5 other threads of the day, giving your silly opinion disproportionate representation, as if 1/6 of the people actually think like you.

So wait, you are a moderator? I don't see any other threads with any title close to that one, so therefore like in any forum on the internet it would make sense to leave it up. Coach Dambrot is the best thing to happen to this program in a very long time. I guarantee you not even 1/100th of the people on this forum share your opinion let alone 1/6. That being said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, it is most definitely not necessary to create a thread under such a silly name. I assure you, many of us have extensive basketball knowledge, as well as knowledge of the history of this program. I'm sure you and the Hipshers go waaaay back.

Root 4, I for one did not see your post. However, if your post was a flamer toward KeithDambrot and especially today's game you are way off base. You are entitled to your opinions.Sometimes it is just best to keep them to one's own self.I was at today's game against UMass. Not once did I observe any player or Akron coach do anything deserving of criticism. UMass was simply too big, too quick and playing at home.I loved our kids performance. They left it all out on the floor. UMass fans were all around me.They were deeply impressed with Akron as a team, its players and the quality of coaching.UMass was greatly surprised by our play. To quote one of them. "You folks sure as hell were noSteven F. Austin. You nearly kicked our butts. Great Job. Hope to play you again in the future."The only negatives I encountered were coming from Akron fans and parents.

I didn't see your post, but quite frankly I doubt it was erased because you were too critical of Coach Dambrot. I've seen too many posts about how Dambrot is a poor coach, how nobody on the team could make it on a pickup team in their neighborhood, and how the only reason we lose games is because of the referees. A coach sometimes makes a mistake, a player now and then has a bad game, and while I have often been critical of the officiating rarely are they the reason a team loses a game. In sports, like life, mistakes are made. Now and then somebody is just a little bit sharper, quicker or has a better day than you. Sometimes you get the short end of the stick, but life is not always fair. The intelligent person just grins and bears it, and doesn't bitch too much because they know that it really doesn't help anything except lower their blood pressure for a short time.

The fact is that Zips Nation is private property and the owners can do as they please. There no such thing as right to "Free Speech" on a web forum. If you don't like it, you can always start your own site where you can say what ever you want. KD is the best thing that has happened to Zips basketball since Huggins left 20 years ago.

Well it doesn't seem like there are more than about 50 people who really post on here. So me agreeing with roo44 would throw your numbers off a bit. So I'll agree on most levels with roo44, KD really doesnt have a clue when it comes to holding onto leads for one. In the VCU game with a minute left and a free throw coming, he did not sub in JWood and everyone in the arena was shaking their heads when Dials fired off that famous airball instead of pounding it inside to a guy like wood who could have won us that game. He overplayed McNees and we all had to suffer through his 10 TO's/minute that he averaged against decent teams. He could have easily put in D Roberts more in those situations. He just forgets about people sometimes on his bench. Honestly, I could go ON AND ON about it. He may be a fantastic recruiter (questionable) and a great guy for the program (no doubt about it) but he is not much of a coach in game situations. He loses games for us, and that's not what a coach should be doing.

well let me make it clear that i never stated that Keith Dambrot was a bad recruiter or that he was bad for this program. However, he is a horrible game coach, he doesn't seem to understand game situations in college basketball or even how to utilize his roster. He seems lost at times. I have been following Zips basketball for my entire life, and have been going to games since i was 1, I have a very good understanding of how bad some coaches have been and i assure you I am not on any sort of Hipsher band wagon.

first of all, you called for his job and said he should be fired. second of all, today's game proves the complete opposite of what you state. kd was able to find the right rotation of guys out there to get us out of the hole and even ahead against a team that was more athletic than us. we struggled bringing up the ball under their pressure which caused the turnovers and the big run at the end, but we don't have a true point guard.

Hilltopper, thanks for the support. But a small correction. The intention of this site is NOT to be a mouthpiece for UA Athletics with no objectivity. It is simply to be a home for Zips fans on the web. You credit me too much .. you recall the meeting @ Porky's several (6?) years ago that started this site up. We aim to provide a gathering place free from spam, personal attacks and advertising, right? Hopefully we're doing that?As for the posts in question, Roo44 .. I didn't see them, as I was busy driving back from Amherst yesterday. I'm sorry I didn't see you at the game .. perhaps I left too soon to meet you? At any rate, if you posted multiple things that were deleted multiple times .. then it's likely they violated our simple rules of decorum, personal attacks or good taste. We do NOT make a habit of deleting posts that disagree with our opinions. Do a search on the term "Spoiled" and see how many posters threw that back at me .. and the fact that they weren't deleted.

With this strong performance on ESPN for all to see, it will be that much harder to get top notch OOC opponets to play us.And as for KD making poor decisions regarding personnel and play designs down the stretch in games, where is the staff that should be watching his back and making sure he isn't missing making the proper substitutions.

This is my 35th year of attending Zips BB as a season ticket holder. Dambrot is not a "horrible game coach". Unless you have some inside info as to what the status of each player is reguarding injuries, weaknesses and such, anything you have to say about coaching decisions is pure conjecture. After watching Hipsher ruin the confidence level of every player he recruited and watching Crawfords total lack of recruiting ability destroy what little winning tradition we established in the Huggins era, KD has been a breath of fresh air. I suspect that there are hundreds of other programs that would love to have KD making those same "horrible decisions" for their program. Bottom line; the players play the game, the coach can only try to put them in a position to win. Yesterday we were in a position to win, the players didn't make the plays. This was a great season, we were only picked for 4th in the east and we overacheived. I cant wait till next year.

ZW, I think you are being too modest. You have accomplished exactly what we talked about on that day in front of Porkys. This site is a wonderful example of free speech, without all the name calling and acrimony I see on other sites. Keep up the good work!

you can go ahead and delete "rowdie2008" because i have no idea who that even is. It wont affect me in the least. I love how your only response to having someone agree with me is hiding behind an accusation that i am creating multiple logins and posting on them. It sucks to be wrong doesn't it?
