You know what I want to see in the new stadium complex?

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about this off and on since they announced the stadium. The student government has mentioned trying to put in an on campus bar in the student union. They should put in a nice little sports bar under the new dorms near the stadium. Just my two cents...

Th RB being dry is one of the largest reasons we struggle with attendance. College Football games need beer. That's just the way it is.Not to mention, if more people get drunk at the games, maybe they won't realize how terrible the teams they are watching really are.

what does it technically mean to be "dry"? I know you can bring alcohol into your dorm room and drink as long as you are 21 (and they card you at the front desk if they see you carrying in a 12 pack). does dry just mean you can't buy or sell on campus?

You got it. I think there used to be alchohol served on campus, ans if there is significant money to be made they will sell it again.

Back in the good old days (1960s-70s) the bar in the student Union had what I thought was a pretty good variety of beers. Three on tap and a numerous others in bottles or cans. However, upon my arrival at Marquette, where they had 17 beers on tap, I changed my mind.

you need a liquor license to sell alcohol....let me think, who has one in summit county that isn't going to be using it that just recently sold their bar for 2.7 mill...I can't remember...hmmmmm

Wasn't there a Winking Lizard rumor floating around?
if not i'll start one. HEY GUYS! i heard from a very reliable unnamed source in the athletic department that we're getting a winking lizard in the new complex.
I had to look it up. Eight posts down (Aug 07)

Looks like the building at the north end zone (especially now that I see the name of the file - north.jpg). Any chance there will be pep rallies in there before the game?

:D they don't need to sell alcohol on campus...you people drink enough...if the LIZARD didn't get a presence near INFO they would be crazy...they sponsor sports programming and the area around Exchange/Spicer/Brown will be alive...BW3 is crazy if they don't expand...some guys where i work were trying to figure a way to get in on this..one of them is a chef and wants to invest some money and time...
