  1. If you know something you can't tell, then I understand your reluctance to provide supporting evidence. If you're just speculating, welcome to the club. In either case, telling other Zips fans to just forget it and "move on" accomplishes nothing other than to antagonize other Zips fans who care about both Tree and the Zips team.

  2. For those Zips Mens Soccer fans who may not have noticed, this tidbit was included in the latest edition of Zips Line with Tom Witricill. Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. – Men’s Basketball vs. Western Michigan (which will include an on-court recognition and autograph session with former Men’s Soccer greats, including Evan Bush, Ben Zemanski, Darlington Nagbe, Mike Nanchoff, Steve Zakuani and more to come!) I'm beyond pleased to see our AD finally recognizing our own Zips professional greats. I know bobbleheads are a gimick, but if they do any in the future, I'd sure love to see any of these guys or Wil Trapp, Chad Barson, Scott Caldwell, David Meves, Teal Bunbury, DeAndre Yedlin, Perry Kitchen, Kofi Sarkodie, Chris Korb, Darren Mattocks, Caleb Porter, Jason Taylor, Dwight Smith, Dominek Hixon, Chase Blackburn, ...

  3. Sticking with outdated uniforms for the sake of matching historical Pantone numbers is lame. I thought the 2014 uni's were really nice. The players did too. That's enough for me.

  4. I think we need to have a viable plan to replace the dump we call an "arena". JAR by any other name still stinks.

  5. I have been an advocate for staying in the MAC, but I have a question. . .Does CUSA have a contract with the worldwide leader for these asinine Tuesday night games? If not, I'm all for the move!

  6. I'll just speculate that if Tree should return to the team this season, the best news is that it would mean he was not guilty of an offense as serious as some have imagined. Tree would need to understand that he would be coming back to a team that has compensated for his absence by relying less on one star and more on many players taking on added responsibilities. The tricky part would be working Tree back into the rotation in a way that takes more advantage of what other players have shown they can contribute and not simply going back to the old way of relying on Tree to carry the team on his big shoulders. It's no longer Tree's team. But it's a good team that could use Tree's contributions to become an even better team.

  7. What draws me to the women's basketball game is the authenticity of the game. The men's game can have the fundamentals of the game overshadowed by athleticism. Women's game has athleticism too(just look at Anita Brown's reverse layup-and-1), but they use that to improve their fundamentals. The men's game seems to use the athleticism to hide their lack of fundamentals. Call me an old soul, but the men's game just isn't pure basketball to me anymore.

  8. Depends on your definition of wrongdoing. If he got into a fight with his girlfriend and someone else called the Police, who found no evidence of criminality, that should be their business and no one else's.
