There might not be much to hang our hats on right now, after what's happened the last few weeks. But, it's certainly worth mentioning that OU has to travel to Mt. Pleasant this week, while we'll be at home resting, getting healthier, and focusing on one game for a 2 week period. I hope that gives us enough of an advantage to have enough tools ready, and enough gas in the tank to make a run at these guys. Salvaging what's left of this season with an inspired win, and a likely bowl bid, would certainly mean far more to me than tanking and going home, and starting next September playing in front of some very disappointed and unexcited fans.

They took care of business this weekend. Congratulations Tremendous improvement during the season by Jonathan Lewis and Nick Hinds I also have to give a lot of credit to Coach Embick and the coaching staff. Moving Nick Hinds from left DB to the midfield made a huge difference for this team and moving Goncalo Soares from a holding mid position to right def. back was also a very underrated move. Looking forward to the draw tomorrow and see what challenges await this team. Tremendous job by the best sports team on the akron campus.

We know the Zips coverage is laughable from the ABJ. They've got a D-1 university across the street and don't seem capable of giving them reasonable coverage. Here is the ABJ article from last night's UA-v-YSU game. It's a "Beacon Journal staff report" because... you know... Youngstown is so far away they couldn't be expected to actually send anyone to cover the game. The Beacon sports (lack of) coverage has insulted and upset me for years. But now I'm just worried about Akron actually having a news source at all.

I think the Zips got a great draw. They are home against one of the worst at-large teams and they are in the 7/10 bracket. It could've been much worse.

It might not be getting attention right now. The real value will come when Millions of people turn on their TV's on Saturday morning and see a pregame show on a college campus in Kalamazoo Michigan, with tons of signs touting WMU. I'd probably want to go camp outside and have a 5-day Tailgate if something like that was going to happen on Saturday on Akron's campus.

I was proud of the second half showing from our lads and felt when we scored that we might find our way back into the match but it wasn't to be. The 8 seniors have been outstanding during their four years here and i can't thank them enough for everything they have given our program."
