  1. Our QB, if healthy, which is a big IF, is one of the better QBs in the MAC. The bigger concern is WR. We lost two guys from last year who are currently on NFL rosters. There are a handful of guys that could have made a leap and turned into respectable WRs, but its a big question mark.

  2. A good bonus question would have been Brian Bell: On or off the sidelines for Penn State?

  3. Groce has brought a nutritionist onto the staff to work with the players. There has also been an emphasis on strength and fitness training. Every player on the team has seen significant improvements in BMI and other biometrics. As an example Daniel Utomi dropped from 18% to 11% fat which allowed him to increase his vertical jump by 10 inches.

  4. I am expecting big things from Utomi. The slim down is just a bonus. He was approaching a real breakout last season.

  6. I'm going to be in central New York for a different purpose this weekend so against my better judgement I'm going to stop by for the game on my way. Found a seat on the 50 yard line on the Zips sideline 5 rows back from the field for $60 (plus Stubhub Fees).

  9. Not sure. However it indicates that UofA couldn't get away with cloning a Pac 12 team's uniform without negative fanbase reaction.

  10. Hey all - my first post! I'm excited to have found a place to talk Zips soccer! My wife is especially excited such a place exists, as she thinks (incorrectly) that this will spare her the soccer lectures It was a bummer to see them concede that goal on a corner after a poor clearance from Lundt. Still, I thought they played reasonably well for the first real outing. A few observations... I'm liking Harter more and more - he's got good instincts in the midfield, served up some nice set pieces and plays with high energy.... Nate Brown was awesome - good physical presence and was key to solving some of UVU's high pressure in the 1st half...Moutinho was outstanding - confident on the ball, excellent first touch, great attacking ability on the flank and his passing game is spot on.
