It wasn't a good look for Scarborough to plan a major renovation on the presidents mansion at the time he was slashing the budget. I feel a lot of the stuff he was trying to do was for the betterment of the university long-term. I just think he lacked the people skills necessary to do it in a way that would get people to buy in.

This administration is so incompetent it isn't even funny. The planning and logical thought process just is not there. What we need to demand as fans is a roadmap to success. We need a list of things we need to accomplish (one of which is a balanced budged), and a plan to accomplish those said things. Let's get uncomfortable, talk about things that are working, things that are not. Let's build on what is working for us, and come up with a plan to either fix or eliminate what is not working for us. Enough closed door meetings. Admin needs to put their thoughts on paper and be held accountable.

What universities have done for the last 30 years is the same thing people do with credit cards.. they buy and pay for stuff they can't afford -- the available credit is the only reason most NCAA D1 coaches get paid what they do. 90% never were worth what they were paid. The market was artificial. Athletics is a business -- OSU can pay what they want... Akron can't-- and neither can or should most universities. The party is over . The market for most coaches is one that stupid administrators and AD's created on credit-- not the merits of coaches.

this tweet is spot on..... plenty of blame to go around over spending and over building by Proenza and his team the poor decisions in the scarborough era infocision decision paying bowden $650,000 not to coach....paying UTC $350,000 for their former coach...to lead the zips to an (im)perfect 0-12 season
