I hope you mean a one game suspension in addition to the ejection, because the game yesterday still counts as a game played. Doesn't matter if you get ejected in the 1st minute or the 39th minute, he needs to sit one full game.

maybe it's a woman's perspective, but i'm glad no one touched him. if he had been allowed to continue to play, then heck yes i'm all for stepping up the physical game and dishing it back. but to continue a fight on a dead ball situation like that would only get our guys unnecessarily ejected and suspended. not needed at this point in the season.

what is the address for the Can't forums?

question: because he was ejected, doesn't he have an automatic 1 game suspension? or is that up to the discretion of the coach/university?

women throw the game and lead away in the final minutes. the refs helped by allowing some real physical play (fouls). Also, a group of rowdies showed up, bought reserved chair back seats and before the game even started they were being told they had to move. The guys paid $10 a seat to get reserved seating just before the game started. Someone at Can't got pissed (and this was before the game was underway and they could even open their mouths to cheer) and sent an usher up to them with a $5 refund and general admission tickets. They were told they could take the refund and move or be kicked out and get nothing back. Complete bullshit!

on another note, great senior night for Ashley Veal. A win against ohio with ou making a last second desperation 3, but we made our free throws and won by one.

that's pretty good, but they usually do a better shop photoshopping their pictures.

AMEN!

hmm... maybe I am mistaken. The NCAA rifle history page only goes back to 1980, and I read elsewhere that that it was in 1980 when the NCAA officially took over the championship.

lol... I think it was mentioned at one time to put a new range in there, but then they ran out of space and it was nix'ed. Akron held a national junior air rifle in the field house a couple years back, so there would be no question as to what a new range (if built right) could bring to campus. BusDriver could give you better specifics... especially if you were willing to be a financial backer

just be careful not to get too rowdy... we don't want the police escorting you out of the JAR like they did to that one guy at the women's game.

Rutgers narrows athletic-director search to three top finalists

just throwing this out there (a random thought I had today)... what if he was doing this more for a salary increase than wanting to change schools. I mean, if he has been searched out and at least appears to be interested Akron would have to give him better incentive not to be lured away ($$$). Supply and demand, just like any other coach. It's a good way to gauge how valued you are by the school. I could be completely wrong, but just thought I'd throw that idea out there. -
The NCAA sectionals were shot on the weekend of February 14 & 15 and the selections were announced today. I would estimate that the team finished around #15 like they have for several years in a row now, but freshman Jenna Compton had an amazing qualifier and has been invited as an individual. NCAA Rifle Selections (teams and individuals)

this is what I find most upsetting. It makes me feel like a fool to have believed him. Then again, why would I do otherwise. I don't know, I still need to process this situation... -
my only problem is that he had Can't finishing ahead of us, and we already thoroughly kicked their ass.

one of the coaches told me one time that a lot of it had to do with the better weather. we have less good weather days, so in order to play the same number of games we do double headers and sometimes as many as 4 games in 3 days. where they have better weather they have more days they can play on, so there isn't a need to have the double headers, giving those teams more rest. i'm sure the better climate affects talent as well in that they have more seasons they can play in.

still, a 3.39 team gpa is pretty damn impressive.

loans are just something you're going to have to suck up. i feel for you, i've been here 5 years, living off campus in my own place for the last 3 and am still considered by the school out of state. check other websites like fastweb.com for scholarships. some of them may only be $100, but it all adds up eventually. student loans are really the only debt i have ($22,000 and counting!).

well it changed for me, but for the worse. now on the front page, the headlining photos are so big they require a side scroll bar and the size of the picture varies with each story. the individual sport pages seem to be fine, but it's still pretty messed up.

lmao!!! the best part is that the students will be PAYING to work on improving the field. -
i asked mack at the game yesterday why the department would launch a brand new website when its only half finished. he gave me a look and i said "please don't tell me that's the finished product." he said that he hadn't looked at it yet. i told him there were some less important links not working (like the saac stuff), but even the ticket page looked like shit and one of the links there wasn't working right (see below), he was pissed. said that he'd look at it and that it would be an interesting monday morning.

looks like same shit, different school.

the layout looks nice, but the website is still crap. it seems like everything is off to the left, and i really liked how the previous banners had pics of student athletes playing for their respective sport page. the change in the layout is not bad, and it will take some getting used to, but the content of the website and presentation on pages other than the home pages for each sport are pathetic and make us appear the class b status that many people take us as. for example:the content of this page is exactly the same as the previous page. for each of these people there should be the biographies next to their photo and name, just like you see in the football media guide. for the ad specifically, he should have his own page. MANY other schools have this set up, so it's easier to find this information. if you want it on gozips then you have to go to the football page and download the pdf of the media guide where they have these bio's. so, 1. it looks bad. and 2. it's lacking information that should be there. next:wtf is going on here? all the ads on other pages are on the left and BAM! here it's on the right. weird. the whole page is tacky and sloppy. dark blue links over dark blue background?next: big white empty space. need i say more?finally:presentation is shitty and the links don't go anywhere.

i have to say that the women's game was WAY more entertaining than the men's game.
