  1. Riveting first half between Ball State and EMU. Awful announcers but then again I'm not sure how they can keep their interest watching this Zone and Ball State's 13 turnovers. Announcers, "Eagles only loss in last 6 games was to the seemingly unbeatable Akron.". Hmm.
  2. This specific game has offered up disastrous results in the past. A Redskins team with nothing to lose could be dangerous...like they all are.
  3. https://www.beaconjournal.com/sports/20200221/with-five-games-left-zips-control-their-destiny-in-mac All this talk about seedings and hoping certain teams beat other teams, then this article pops up tonight. One game at a time. The blue-blooded eastern division of the MAC will be feeding on each other the next five games. Can't overlook any of them.
  4. Kent's best player was out with back spasms.
  5. Well they would have extra day off. No?
  6. Double OT in Streetsboro
  7. Kent without Pippen. Graves hot from 3. Canada up by 2.
  8. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/bracketology/ Sacramento? Yet, Ohio State, Wright State, Dayton, etc would get Cleveland. Is there a rule about not playing within 60 miles of your home base?
  9. The women's team has won two in a row and they aren't in the bottom 4 but still...
  10. Lame to make Zips/WV rematch
  11. Canada at Rootstown State tomorrow night. Wouldn't mind if Pinky handed the Bulls another loss.

  13. But he missed. Had he made it...only would have tied.
  14. Regghi and Windon are head and shoulders above the rest
  15. Attention seeking much? Took his ball and went home. He knew he was coming back when he left I'm sure.
  16. Enough of the gun girl already. Noticed last night and watching Toledo/BG game that the MAC refs are calling Flowers and Marreon Jackson for pushing their legs out on the 3s.
  17. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28724628/top-coach-year-candidate-every-conference I guess this would fall here. Groce at top of list
  18. https://www.westernherald.com/sports/article_e9564524-533f-11ea-91cf-cb7fa2b4a964.html Quality article by a writer with good basketball knowledge. Amazing, WMU gets this type of good coverage during a really bad season for them.
  19. Buffalo #1 in rebounding. Akron is low in that category.
  20. It's tough to make a decision on this until I see how this year's team plays over the next month. I don't think we've had a player with the "coolness" of Tyler Cheese. He reminds me so much of Buffalo's Jeremy Harris. LCJ's performance this year is like nothing I've previously seen on an Akron team. They've had some good players over the years that could shoot the 3 ball but none ever seemed to improve from year to year. Reggie and Jake played the same for four years. Occasionally, they would get hot for a couple games but weren't consistent. McNees and Roberts were somewhat better, but I don't remember Roberts making the big play other than from the FT line. Bosley, Andrick, Ball, and the Hipshers are my earliest memories and that is a blur.
