    Okonkwo couldn't stay out of foul trouble against the better MAC teams. He would have fouled out in 6 minutes of PT against Tech. Eric is the one that hurts . He is going to be so much better than his brother and it sucks we won't get three more years of watching him just keep getting better and better. That makes the Freeman run even more amazing.

    Zipsoustider would go on to become the de facto Warhawksinsider and will go to his grave lamenting Bowden getting fired by both schools. It was so bad some thought it was his brother Jeff running the account. By some, I mean me.

    Wow, he looks like a home-grown kid right out of the foothills of the Ohio River. All he needs is some overalls, no shirt or shoes and a little brown jug.

    There's some truth to that, but TJ shot .506 from the field (.373 from 3) vs. .403 (.333) for SY so it was more than a playing time result. I hope SY comes back but at this point I think ZNO is looking at potential instead of results. Either way, it looks like a good portal addition.

    Briscoe and Barre saw the court a lot more than a regular season game as well. It was an exhibition and Groce got everyone out there.

    Oggie aka the Big Stank started playing more and more hero ball when he got his runs. There were more than a couple bad 1-on-3 takes or no look passes out of bounds that had Groce just staring at him in disbelief. Bad defense and not running the offense means take a seat kid. I would have liked him to stay b/c he does have a lot of upside but the portal will tell us a lot about his true value.

    It’s not over. Remember Tavari was in the portal last year and stayed.

    If Nate goes to K State, it will interesting to see what he does. He will get another shot or two at Zona.

    Agreed. Next season is probably the most money he will ever make in his life before he heads overseas to play. I hate it but I can't blame him. The games against really good comp showed his size, strength and quickness were elite in the MAC but not against the power programs.

    I loved watching Nate but against the better teams he never looked like a MAC POY on offense or defense. I'm not taking shots at him for being in the portal, just being honest. I have no ill will towards him for his decision. I just hope his year away is not like Ali Ali's at Butler but I would not be surprised if it was.

    Didn't they let Northwestern off the hook in an NIT game they should of won?

    They beat Miss State by 10 in 2011-12. I realize it was a LONG time ago but it was a nationally televised and the Zips were the better team all night.

    I love Trib but he could barely make a 3 footer when he showed up (running floater excluded). He worked as hard as any Zip we have had.
