  1. Wow. The coaches will have their work cut out trying to narrow that list down. Or are there normally 32 players on the final roster?
  2. Nice win. The fact that they held the NCAA stat leaders in shots per contest to just 4 (and 2 SOG) is very impressive. All 3 goals were superb.
  3. No, it's just so darned tense!!
  4. My weak constitution prevented me from watching this live What an effort from the boys today!!
  5. Agreed. The Pitt announcers got all the details right...can't really say the same for our announcers. However, this has been a massive upgrade over the web stream days of old....it always seemed like the camera person would forget what he/she was doing and you'd be staring at an empty field for 10-15 seconds at a time.
  6. I wonder if the change at the back line was due to injury or a tactical move? Either way, the back four held up well to a lot of pressure. It was nice to see them get a gritty win over a good opponent on the road!
  7. Gotcha! Glad to hear he was at least warming up. His return would be a big boost.
  8. Also Zajac - anyone know if he might return soon?
  9. Absolutely fantastic work from Gainford. Zajac did pretty well, too.
  10. It was great to see Lundt rebound with an air tight performance. Also, looks like Embick found his back line of choice. They looked really connected all game and Strachan seems comfortable back there. Good stuff!
  11. Totally agree. They were the better team by far last night IMO. It was a very unfortunate tackle by Lundt during what was one of the only dangerous through-balls from UD. I'm sure that was a tough one to swallow for the team.
  12. Hey all - my first post! I'm excited to have found a place to talk Zips soccer! My wife is especially excited such a place exists, as she thinks (incorrectly) that this will spare her the soccer lectures It was a bummer to see them concede that goal on a corner after a poor clearance from Lundt. Still, I thought they played reasonably well for the first real outing. A few observations... I'm liking Harter more and more - he's got good instincts in the midfield, served up some nice set pieces and plays with high energy.... Nate Brown was awesome - good physical presence and was key to solving some of UVU's high pressure in the 1st half...Moutinho was outstanding - confident on the ball, excellent first touch, great attacking ability on the flank and his passing game is spot on.
