  1. So straight up... for those who don't agree with you this is a great way to end all enthusiasm for participating in your discussion thread.
  2. For everyone on the team... they are going to have to work... let's just say again have to work... for the opportunity to play. My crystal ball is broken so I will leave all the prognostication to the rest of you all but as sure as the sun is gonna rise tomorrow whoever takes the first 5, comes off the bench, or serves as the unsung hero they will have earned it in the locker room weight room and practice court. The skill level and effort require to succeed is astonishing at division 1 and as I read I am reminded I love to be a zips fan but the hard work they are putting in requires more respect then any of us are going to be able to capture with a quick comment on one of these threads.
  3. In 2022 Fardaws Aimaq played At UVU and was the WAC player of the year. He was 6'11" and averaged a double double with 18.9 and 13.6 a game that year. Fardaws left UVU to play for Texas Tech in the Big 12 where he put up 11.1 and 7.9 a game this year. UVU coaching staff is legit and they know how to work with bigs. Aziz's move out west was about him finding and filling an open role and using it to improve under great coaching and an opportunity to develop. So glad to see him make the most.
  4. Good luck Garvin! I will be looking forward to following your progress in the future and with much respect wish you the very best!
  5. For my two cents you will never hear me wishing any of our team move on. Especially not hastened by the possibility or idea that we 'might' recruit another player yet to sign. They worked hard for the opportunities here at Akron. I respect them for that and the coaches for giving them the chance. Now we reshuffle in the off season, but you will always here me rooting for our boys. And as a reminder in Cleveland in 2022 Garvin helped as much as everyone else on the court when we won and were on to face the Bruins. I'll take Garvin any day, he is gamer.
  6. My guess is that Groce would tell us all that in order to win everyone on the team has to commit and participate and contribute for the team. Not seeing an athlete on court or field doesn't necessarily mean they didn't contribute. Just think about Dawson, he didn't play a minute this season, and he will have no stats to turn to but you can't tell me he didn't help this team. I respect Mosengo for his decision and wish him well. And I am grateful for what he did bring to the table, even if I didn't see it first hand or everyday like I could with the starters. There are not any student athletes on this team that are not contributing. Between this young man and I imagine the coaching staff they have connected enough and now he is looking for advancement elsewhere. Power to him and many thanks for being part of the team this year. They were a he'll of a fun team to watch.
  7. It would be nice to steal this one at the buzzer.
  8. Enrique on a 16 and 10 double double in the first half.
  9. And to keep them off the boards away from the rim...
  10. Put Reghi on the mic... dumps on CBS for that.
  11. I think I just heard almost loose his mind standing up for mid majors. I don’t remember him being so animated.
