  1. If Ford ran the Defense, then who ran the offense? was it Groce or someone else. Do we need to hire an offensive coordinator. I know time will tell but any rumor as to his staff vs Groce’s. Like who are keeping and who is leaving
  2. We have to go with the money, it is sadly the most important Part of College sports. If Wentz is the only donor who gives big money you have to go with his choice. If we can secure 2nd or 3rd donor by going with someone else then I think we should follow that lead. Dru Joyce went 9-9 in conference play in the A10 Last year in his 2nd year as Head coach. He is the only guy I think that could generate potentially more NIL than Ford. (Thanks to a Friendship with a Billionaire). If Lebron does not invest than we have to Roll with Ford and keep the Train moving as Wentz has made his Feelings know on X
  3. Groce has hit a ceiling here unless we can get about 1 million more in NIL. I think he is trying to leverage this offseason to find it. If Akron doesn’t give in. I think he will go as I don’t think he is bluffing. does that announcement of the expanded Nike/LeBron partnership give any hope.
  4. How funny that USF wanted Groce and then settled for Mack. And then CoC gets USF 1st choice to replace Mack. It’s honestly a bit of a head scratcher. And this timeline makes me think Groce is leveraging these offers to hopefully get Akron to commit more money. my prediction is he Stays!
  5. Does anyone want to predict what Josh Henderson will be next season. I have never seen him play. We really need either him or Cody Head to be a 10 points 20 minutes a game guy next season.
  6. Haven’t heard anything from anyone… retain Eric and Sharron, hope the redshirts and freshman can contribute and find a starting center and starting 2 guard. And I think we can 4peat! the question is do we go after a power 5 bench player or a D2 all American.
  7. Akron was definitely feeling the pressure of being the team that had something to lose this past weekend once Miami lost. The script flips on Friday. As we are the team with nothing to lose. we were playing with Purdue and even ahead the first eight minutes of the game before their size overwhelmed us. I don’t think T tech can over power us. with that being said, I don’t think our guards can stop their guards. So it’s gonna be a track meet whoever shoots better wins… I thought the same thing last year against Arizona as they were not a bunch of trees and then they dominated us defensively an shut us down completely.
  8. Texas Tech is very guard heavy on their scoring. With the toppin injury they start a 6’6 guy at PF. I don’t think they can overpower us with size like Purdue. if we shoot 40% from 3 I think we win
  9. I need the 3 peat hat! Does anyone have a link? A coach was in a 3Peat fear the roo collective hat during the celebration. I assume they gotta be selling it to help the collective soon.
  10. I know a long shot but do you think we could ever get a 10k arena downtown Akron. Next to the rubber ducks a lock 3. LeBron could pay and the city could help. Then move the Cleveland charge into that arena and have the zips play there. it would be a UA, charge and concert venue. Creating a stadium district downtown.
  11. MMK is a great free throw shooter he has a good shot. and he had a nice Drive vs NUI. I am on board. He has a chance to be Evan replacement! That is a good call. Anyone with his drive and work ethic can do anything if he puts his mind to it!

  13. As for the bigs we need a starting center. I would love an Amani Clone. Our current bigs don’t have it. But I think they are all viable back up big! Marvin: has heart, rebounding and is improving every game. But is 6’6 and can’t be a starter. Great back up for next season. Barre: has size and athleticism, but is a terrible rebounder and poor hands. He does have decent rim protection. He could improve but that is a risky gamble. Briscoe: has the size and weight. But strength and confidence needs to improve. He can either stay in the program and keep working or transfer if he is tired of waiting.
  14. Game day! This game is always a dog fight. Because Pccc mucks it up. I imagine both teams shoot better. Last game Gillespie and Lyles were no factors due to constant foul trouble. I think that goes in our favor as if the refs swallow the whistle that hurts us. With Whaley back we have to push the ball and create turnovers. Between Scott, young, Hardman and Johnson we need someone to go 4-5 from three.
  15. I think this has loss written all over it. But we live in their heads rent free. We will break their hearts again.
