  1. Sorry to quote myself, but by absolutely random chance I happened to sit near Cedrick Middleton at the Ball State game Saturday so I said hello to him (he seemed like a very nice guy) and thanked him for the great season they had last year and then asked if he had anything to do with Zippy ending up in that ad. He said he didn't have any knowledge of it and had only even just heard about the ad. One theory down the drain.
  2. Ours is better.
  3. The mysterious Mr. Hagen returns. Greetings! Are you as fired up about Zips football as you were about Zips basketball? I hope your client comissioned this shot and many more to come.
  4. I also wonder if Cedrick Middleton's internship at ESPN might have had a little influence too? Can't someone get this nailed down on how Zippy ended up in a Vikings spot with absolutely no reason for her to be there? Of course that is also the beauty of those classic ESPN ads.
  5. Well to let you know that some of us pay attention AND appreciate the effort put into this, I noticed you did update the team passing yardage, but it seems the passer rating stayed the same. I don't understand the formula very well, but Buffalo in the number 2 spot has a worse completion percentage, fewer yards and exactly the same TD/INT numbers, but is 23 points higher. Am I missing something or did the number just not get updated? Also seems funny because Jacquemain's stats encompass all but one incompletion and his individual rating is much higher.
  6. You gotta think that last years Capital One Bowl competition might have had something to do with it. Pretty cool to be getting just a little bit more National notice.
  7. That was stinkin' funny, I only wondered why he gave credit to the Syracuse running backs for playing well instead of noting that they were only playing against the AKRON ZIPS (if that is indeed who Syracuse played on Saturday - I couldn't really tell from the report . I'm rooting for Syracuse in every game they have left. By the way, the answer to the Captain's rhetorical question - 11 (in a 3 minute presentation).
  8. Unfortuantely, Indiana got hammered today at home by Dartmouth, 4-0. I like for teams that we beat to continue to do well, it should help down the road. Oh well, for the moment it doesn't matter, the soccer team can only control their own games but I'm very impressed so far.
  9. The most disappointing MAC score of the day was BG getting thumped by Minnesota. Thought the best chance for the MAC to pick up some scalps were us, them and Temple, Glad we're the one that did.
  10. And lets give JD credit the other direction too. Andre Jones looked terrific at WR today as well. Takes guts to take one of your best players on both offense and defense a year ago and have them swap sides of the ball. It seems to be working out really well in both instances so far. How many people were holding their breath when Williams went down early in the game?
  11. Is that where everybody went?
  12. TD #3! Nice job by the Zips offense today.
  13. Zips have been making a lot of third and longs - good but I'd rather not be in that position to begin with. Andre Jones has been looking very good.
  14. Crap - close to a sack but gave up a TD.
  15. TD - Dennis Kennedy on another huge play! I can see why Syracuse fans are disgusted. This was the school that produced Jim Brown?
  16. Two big runs by Alex Allen. And with all the gnashing of teeth over our wide receivers at the beginning of the year, they may even turn out to be a strength.
  17. I''m watching it on fox sports as well, no TV coverage here in Kuwait So what time is it in Kuwait? Guessing you're military? Bless you, man.
  18. Last one was for crossing the line of scrimmage before passing - it was close but he was over. Stec just had a pretty good punt.
  19. First down - Zips! Huge play!
  20. I wondered if anyone was going to start a thread, I think a lot of folks were able to make it to the game - I have to settle for watching it on ESPN360. But a very nice start by the offense - 7-0 Zips!
  21. Guess Andre Jones can play offense too!
  22. Of course logic doesn't seem to play a big role in these anyway, how in the world did former #4 BC beat unranked Boston U and then lose to unranked Providence and rise two spots to #2?
  23. I hear what you're saying about ND's incredible "poll buoyancy" Cap'n, but they DID beat Duke 4-1 the day after the 3-0 Zip win. Hey, I guess we should oot for them to stay highly ranked. This way, come NCAA tourney seeding/selection, it will go down as a true, undeniable quality win.I think the pollsters were just giving them due credit for not getting a bigger beat-down from the Zips. They stayed within 3, quite an accomplishment.
  24. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/8473184Lets hope for three return TD's and about five interception returns for scores.
  25. The National News had a story on LeBron at the Olympics. They used some footage of him at a clinic for kids at the JAR. You could clearly players names on Banners, some of the MAC East Championship banners and Zippy on the floor but not one mention of where they were. Someday.
