As an alum of the greek system, and former AK-Rowdy, just wanted to let you know that you're an idiot. I can GUARANTEE you that behind the Ak-Rowdies in support of our athletic teams is the greek community. And bashing our own fans? How classy.

Zips also got a brief mention from the sports anchor on WKYC shortly after the game on Sunday. The weekend anchor is a MAC guy, so it was expected.

Was anyone at the game? I was following on gamecast and it looked as though cards were being thrown left and right, especially near the end. Any perspectives?

Toledo gave a free Toledo Rockets shirt to every student who came in and turned in an Ohio State shirt, in preparation for their upcoming game.Toledo is GENIUS.

1) Marching the high step is TOTALLY, COMPLETELY different than the way they march now. The step they do now is actually very difficult to learn to do well, and it would probably be near impossible for them to change without at least a summer's worth of rehearsals. 2) Agree. The music is, a lot of the time, quite lackluster. I think it has a lot to do with the selections.3) High school bands (good ones at least) don't play with sheet music because they learn ONE show for a season, so there is only one set of music to learn. College bands learn a new show for every home game, thus increasing exponentially the amount they [would] have to memorize. I am not/was not in the band, but I was in one of the best in Ohio in High School. Don't knock the band unless you have experience. What they do is A LOT harder than it looks

Wow, way to be a downer. FYI, it's not exactly a phenomenon unique to Akron. If a team goes up 41-0, people leave. It happens here, it happens in the majors, and *GASP* it even happens down in Columbus.

Channel 3 has had pretty decent coverage of the tourny so far....tune in around 11:20 for highlights. One of their sports reporters is a Toledo Rocket....hope he's on tonight.

I interviewed at NEOUCOM a few weeks ago and they said that within the next 2-3 years they will be extending their BS/MD program to CSU.

I just want to say that whoever is responsible for getting the shuttles/busses to take the students to the game really dropped the ball last night. Four shuttles to take us to the game, and only 2 to take us back? I stood out there for close to 1.5 hours just trying to get back to campus and ended up not getting back until about 1 am. People were freezing, and pushing and shoving to get on the busses. They are lucky no one got hurt. I will most likely NOT be attending next week's game because of my experience last night. And they wonder why students don't go to the games.....

It looks much more professional now.
