Absolutely, Zippy is more of a friendly looking mascot then some of the other ones out there, and I don't mind it. I think having Zippy look friendly and approachable helps embed our university into the minds on younsters.If anything, we need to have Zippy make more appearances at locations where their will be lots of kids so we can capitalize on that friendly mascot look. But on the otherside I like my mean looking Zippy as well.

I received this regarding tickets... Alumni Association didn't come up with the Marketing Plan. It says it right in the post that the guy talked with the Athletics Marketing Department. It's a flush back game. No different then Waddell did to fill the bowl against Marshall in 2004, well actually it is, Marshall was a voucher game, no money was collected.

I could care less what other fans from visiting schools think. Willy, now after seeing him, IMO, is a tremendous asset. Him getting on the field at the end of the game was outstanding. The fans were never louder during the game then when he was urging them on. The players loved it, I loved it, everyone around me loved it, I saw an intensity and passion spewing from fans that has long been obsolete do to this ridiculous 'class' thing that keeps getting brought up. I mean Dammit - Were Zips and I don't care what any Falcon, Rocket, Redhawk or stupid Flush thinks of me, they can go to hell.Willy created an electrifying experience, something that has been lacking with Akron Athletics for years. We as fans are constantly looking at the negatives. It has to stop. Support the product we are given, get people to the games, cheer loud and proud for your team and then Willy wouldn't have to get on the damn field to remind us where we are and what we are supposed to be doing.I have never been to an Akron game that felt that electric, people standing and cheering until the bitter end and I have one person to thank for that, Willy, whoever the hell you are, thanks, your presence reminded me of what being passionate about a team means. Keep doing what you're doing.

No we CAN blame the officials. We missed opportunities yes, but we also had opportunities crushed by AWFUL/TERRIBLE/QUESTIONABLE/UNFAIR/POSSIBLY BIAS refereeing. I've never been so shocked at continuous flags thrown at opportune times for one team. It was very fishy.Are you talking about the same officials that overturned a spot that would have made us punt, instead after reviewing the spot we got a 1st down and continued the drive?
