I think Conyers will be starting over Linhart by conference play. Conyers is more athletic, has a stronger frame, can play defense and can shoot like no one I have seen in a long while. Don't get me wrong Linhart is extremely valuable with his versitility. I expect him and Cedrick to come off the bench around the same time to spell the starters for an extended period of time which will help greatly come tournament time as players will be more rested.

I don't believe that Can't State dropped their program, I think they have just decided to play more worthy opponents. I have worked with Matt for a while now. He is kind of a toolbag and I really don't like him much. Granted he has a lot of great ideas but most of them are stolen. Alright just kidding!Something good I can say about him is that he has a great mind and sense of what students want and he had the resources to do it. Hopefully he has those same resources again this up coming season but we will have to wait and see.By the way Matt "Godfather" Newhouse you are such an A-Hole! haha! Bite it you flamer!

Student Tickets can be purchased through the Akron Ticket Office on Friday March 10th until 5 p.m. for the Championship game. The cost is $10 and yes, if we do not make it you will be out $10. No Refund. If you want to wait until March 11th that's cool, you can get them up at Quicken Loans, but tickets in the Akron section are limited and once they are gone student tickets will be in a different section and you will have to pay anywhere from $17 - $47.So its your choice, either take the chance to be in the in the Akron Student Section and watch the Zips get an NCAA Bid or wait and pay more not to celebrate near Akron fans.

It's really exciting to have a University of Akron team ranked # 1 in the nation. Problem though is that we still have two tough away games this year against top 10 teams. Those games are against St. John's this Wednesday and Indiana later in the year. I hope we can come out explosive and put any questions to rest early. Good Luck Zips Soccer we're cheering for you!

All in all from the Open End Zone the play looked intense, powerful and collective. I have never seen the Zips look so confident and explosive. I am proud of the way that the Zips fought back after they got down early. I was impressed by their composure. The student section was rocking for the first time in years. I was so proud to see them out and in good spirit. I am even more glad that we gave them something to go home and talk to their room mates about. I hope to see even more out at the Rubber Bowl against CMU. A-K-Rowdies! Keep it up Zips we are all behind you GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ZIPS!!

Dials is hopeful to be back by the start of MAC play this season, Wood is progressing slowly, so lets hope he stays motivated and gets back to 100% by seasons tip!

Turkey Day Football - 2 Thumbs Up! Can't State is Going down!

Officially the announcement was made about Turkey day football coming back to Akron yesterday afternoon when the MAC brain trust posted it on the website. This is great news and a very exciting time! See you at the Tailgate!!

I agree! Temple is worthless to bring into the conference unless they are bringing all there sports, preferably basketball. Basketball is the only sport that Temple will be able to compete at. Would we also need to add another program as well? Wouldn't bringing Temple in make the conference have an odd number of teams?
