Lots of great pictures that I have never seen. Someone has been holding on to them. I wonder how they are going to break them up? Are they going to put the picture over all 5 tickets or the same picture on each ticket? Would be cool if they put different pictures on each ticket. After having my fancy Michigan season tickets, I was a bit disapointed when I got my plain old Akron season tickets. Oh, yea, I voted for 16 too!

Glad to see a lot of publications mentioning that though we beat the Terd, they got the bowl bid. Implies that we got screwed.

I talked to a guy at work who went to Purdue and lived in West Layfayette. He said that there isn't a whole lot to do or good places to eat. Basically just chain restaurants.

I'm hopeful this year too. I agree that the OL will be a key factor. I took a peek at the Purdue depth chart and I think we'll get pushed up and down the field all day. They've got a bunch of upperclassman starting on the lines and I think our young guys won't be a physical match for them. We might have a lot of talent but it will be boys against men. I think JD did an excellent job of coaching last season so I think we can hold our own against most of the Mid-Majors. Lots of growing pains at the beginning of last season that we won't have to go through. If these young guys have a good work ethic, we'll have a decent year.

I would have to say this was an accurate assessment also. It appears as if NIU will be really tough to beat this year. I expect a much better showing than the blowout of last season, but doubt we’ll get a W. I think the key game of the season is MTSU. They took us down at home last year and I think they’ll be really tough at home this year. If we can pull out a W, that will build some excitement and confidence prior to NIU.

How many suggestions can we come up with? Being in Michigan, I don't have to deal with this problem. I pretty much had my choice. Here are a few. AKRON ZIPS GOZIPS IMAZIP ZIPRFL UAZIPS ZIPMAN (where is the zipman anyway?!?)

I just checked out the Purdue web page and we are their season opener. I guess this is good and bad. The Good is that they won't have one game under their belt. The bad is that it will be hard to get tickets and they won't be beat up, because they won't have one game under their belt.

Are tickets for that game on sale yet? Don't want to be left out in the cold. Does Perdue ususally sell out their games?

Wally, You couldn't do this this day in age, but I was able to drive right up to the gate at the RB during that game. WOW, THAT was it a sight. The place was PACKED. I was at the UA game prior and they were waiting for that crapply little DI-A College game to get over to watch some REAL football. I read about this over on the BBS. IMO, we are still going to get screwed by this. Here's my take. 1) 12 games means that instead of the BCS guys getting 6 home games and 5 away, they will now get 7 home games and 5 away. The Non BCS guys will most likely have 6 home games MAX! 2) The rule change allows for 1 game against a DI-AA team that WILL COUNT towards a bowl. In other words, all of those BCS Schools that didn't make it this year will pick a DI-AA school to beat up and pad their record. No way we're going to get into a bowl easier. 3) It looks like they are going back to Paid attendence like before. This means that as long as someone pays for a seat, it will count. Isn't this what we were doing before so that we could meet requirements. So, in a nutshell, everything is back to the way it used to be, but the big schools will now get MORE money and have an easier time making a bowl. Bottom line....Money talks, Bull$#!t walks.

Is it a picture of the RB packed! I sure hope so. I would need a pickup like that right now!

Whoops, took me a minute to figure out what happened here.

OK, to start off with, I gave the links to the pics. They are at Gozips.com from the Miami game this year at the RB. I don't think anyone at UA would throw an '03 pic in just to screw with us. In addition, they don't have beige walls with blue bleachers at Yeager. I don't think we played them at night in '03 either. Now to my second point. CK to UAM: Hello, UAM,...this is the Captain. Where is my check for consulting on the RB Tailgate project?

Well, I’m glad that JD made the decision this early. We need a clear cut leader throughout the fall. As for Jabari, you never know, Luke could go down with turf toe in the first game. Honestly, I was pulling for Jabari. He’s been here for a while, Luke kinda jumped ship so he could start. Sure he sat out a year, but that’s still the way I see it. In the end, I trust JD’s decision that we have the best QB behind center. I hope Jabari has a stellar season at WR.

I called the UA ticket office and they offered it to me after I bought my ticket. I suggest giving them a ring.

Looks like Chase and Grez might get a chance with the Browns. I like how the Browns are giving so many guys a shot. I don't see how they lose anything. I think it’ll be a battle between Frye and Harris for backup. Obviously you know who I want to win. Amazing how silent the Can't fans are on Cribbs. MAC Flavor in Browns

Excellent points Cap'n. I think the ones that hits home the most are the parking for friends. Every game I have a different number of friends showing up. For the ones that show up with me, we like to park together, block off a little area and set up. I also think that your idea of having a paved road right down the middle is an excellent idea. Put the party in the middle. Nobody will know you're up front till they walk to the game. That is also the narrowest area of the parking lot. Maybe UA should come here to test their ideas. Our consulting fee could cover the cost of the site!

Marshall pics Miami pics I spent about 2 hours trying to find a picture of the RB Packed for something on MACbbs, but I was unsuccessful. Who did UA hire to take pictures? I've seen 3 great crowds in the past 2 years.

Just called and ordered my season tickets. Apparently Zipsfest is no more (or will move) and they are going to have reserved spots for tailgaing in this area. Now, I'm not sure if it's up by the stadium near the beer tent or where the displays were last year. Anybody grab this $40 option? I'm cheap so I probably won't go this route.
