I agreed with the pass-first plan vs. OU, we weren't going to pound the ball running against them as GT seemed to think. Hopefully we can run-first against EMU and get some big pass plays going again. I trust that Terry's team will be ready to play and hungry for another W after the disappointing loss.

That plus she always went around saying "the name is Bond, Jane Bond."
-
So the state is appointing groupthinkers to the BOT.

And Oklahoma is still undefeated and a K. Herbstreit top 4 team- should help our RPI going into the postseason.

Pitt wins at Va. Tech. Look at Narduzzi go.
-
ULL getting blown out at La. Tech. Ending the tours of the new facilities didn't seem to help much.
-
Need more pressure on their QB. Their OL is good.
-
Penalties. Giving them too much help.

Cheering from home today with my newest Zip, 1 week old Alexander. Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd share.

It's a big arc sitting over PA, Eastern Ohio, down I-77 and across South Carolina. Gonna be quite a few rain games today. Penn State, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Clemson. Probably NC State and Duke to some extent also.

Did they remove the attractive carpet from the walls of the stairwells? Did they update the Hall of Fame pictures? How about those fine looking globe lights around the upper exterior? All three give the JAR that great Polytechnical look!
Yes! They should paint the exterior to match. That would be cool.

A 6-2 Conference record would give the Zips the most wins in their D-1 history.
I know you mean D-1A but they had 8 wins in D-1 in 1983 & 1985.

Cincinnati had 39K at Nippert yesterday.
Another 40K, hosting the Hurricanes.

My keys are:
1. Continued emergence of TW with accurate passing. I have no doubt they will play to limit our running and make us beat them via air.
2. Heavy pressure on their QB, whoever it is so he can't pick us apart.
3. Make field goals. Every one is probably going to count.

OU had a really tough, physical game last week. Vick hurt his ankle and was hobbled the entire game. He's a tough kid, but if his mobility is limited the Zips defense will make his life miserable Saturday.
Conversely, the Zips were able to pull their starters in the 4th quarter. We should be fresh. Coe is the one injury that's most-concerning, but other than that we're in great shape.
They sound a little nervous over there. They expected to be much bigger favorites than 2.5 points.

I would expect a few new wrinkles in this first "must-win" MAC East game.

LOL .......... If I may:
Screw the ABJ (or whatever it's called) and attendance .............. BEAT OHIO !!!!
HAHAHA
You're learning!

For years I've only wished the ABJ would cover UA like the Canton Repository covers Canton McKinley.
If they were smart they would try to encourage a following of all the area teams in order to increase their stories of interest and demand for their product.

So you put a blurb on the front page stating Akron is playing late...full coverage to follow Monday. The website is 24/7 so what is the excuse for burying it there?

Last season, Woodson literally threw the game away with a bunch of bad turnovers. Hopefully this year is different. No reason not to feel confident.
If he has a bad start, this time there's Pohl. Frank has a lot to think about this week.

Hey! Great press coverage... from the Lafayette paper, of course.

Oh well, at least ohio.com has a link to the Marshall game story on the front page...

Early forecast is for a cool sunny weekend in Ypsi. I wonder how we play in no rain and no scorching temps? It would be worth the trip just for some ideal tailgating.
