  1. up 16 now! the team is on fire! most of the youngsters came to play. roberts has played great mcness has 4 three's in the second half. bardo has 4 blocks and nate is playing great! good to see with wood and ced playing hurt and dials not having his best game. this could be the game to look back at when the season is over :screwks:

  2. anybody else listening to the game? sloppy play and poor shooting. wait have we heard this before? jimmy and ced both had played and played poorly. b mcknight can't guard his shadow. the team has mostly gone to zone, something kd never wants to do. nate and roberts are playing very well and knocked ut's lead from 13 to 5 at the half. ut only plays 8 guys so i still expect a win but kd can not be happy with the first half! :screwks:

  3. i drove down from cleveland to watch the game with family (montross area) only to find the game wasn't on. then i called the winking lizard (the same one that broadcasts zips live) and they said they had the game. i raced over only to find that they didn't have it either! we all sat around the radio and listened to the game. very upsetting! :screwks:

  4. now the the first half of the season is officially in the books i wanted to get your thoughts on who was the mvp for the first half? akron has been a team in every sense of the word this year with a different person stepping up every game. some may say nate, some may say dials and his leadership. but if i had to give out an mvp for the fist half i'd split it with mcness and j wood. there's no question that wood is the most outstanding player and this play and leadership could guide akron to a mac title. even with j wood playing so well there's no question that akron would not have the record it has with out mcness. his ability to run the team when dials is beat and hit timely threes is essential to the zips success. i liken him to when ced took his game to another level a few years back giving akron that extra weapon. well, what do you guys think? :screwks:

  5. i would love to see the mac do what the a 10 has done in the past two years. the conference is broken down into 3 tiers from last seasons records and to top teams play the top teams twice and so on. it makes for higher rpi's for the best of the conference and increases the chances for an at large bid. this also would go along with o zone's theory of less cup cakes. :screwks:

  6. who was the kid and what school did he end up at? and if you want J.D. to recruit a top ohio qb look no further than Miller this year although i'd like to see them make another run at Britt (haven't heard anything about it yet). :screwks:

  7. 100% agree Capt. all i have to say about the game yesterday was WOW. Can't say I've personally heard a louder audience for a non Can't game. like Capt. said, get your tickets now! a little nit picking here, but should have seen some ad's around the JAR and on the PA about the 4 pack they have been pushing all year. :screwks:

  8. First off let me state that I to was bummed that Dwight didn't say Akron. With that being said this is crazy talk. Normally I don't like to talk about stuff like this but as someone who knew Dwight fairly well I’ll say that he loved Akron. First off he's a D town kid and bleeds Detroit. Second he's a Zip. Call it a city thing but there's a pride with what city you came from and I can respect that. As far as the there's nothing fond to remember point......even if you don't play sports you still make friendships’ that will last the test of time. You will talk about stuff that happened back in the day. That's all part of the college experience and I know he lived it up while a student at Akron. Please, cut the man some slack. This is the first time during his entire career I can remember him saying his high school. I know for a fact that when he was in the super bowl he said Akron and after his pick six happened a university commercial played. One of the greatest days not only for a friend, but as an alum :screwks:

  9. the heir apparent at the point has yet to play and may not this year. Ronnie is a pure point were Robert's is a Ced clone. I agree with a lot of your post. I feel that all eleven will play through out the year but only 9 will play during the game. the nine will change depending on match ups and who's hot or cold during the games and or practice. :screwks:
