Side note... Akron, OU, and Can't - each of whom have been the class of the MAC at some point in the last 2 decades - all play in the first round. When is the last time that happened?

The UMASS contract comes with a basketball agreement, correct? Is Temple football-only, or are going to play them in basketball, too?

This is a big reason why Texas doesn't make sense. I don't know how you can justify the financial aspect when the surrounding cities/states are so rich with talent.

To me it just doesn't make sense to recruit Texas when you could have a prep school pipeline and your surrounding area (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky) is loaded with talent. Groce pulled Nick Kellogg to OU from Columbus, and had LaVert coming, too. I don't know how many other Ohio boys he got, but I think he knows the type of talent that surrounds him and will target them while using Fulford's prep school connections in that area.

He has the name of someone who would give the MAC nightmares, and would become a fan favorite in the NCAA tournament.
