  1. Hey ZNO I'm thinking I might take a walk over to the site and snap some pics tomorrow if possible. Anything I should be focusing on? Obviously the home side will have most of the focus as I'll be coming from the South Quad ;)
hey betch, see if you can get a nice shot of the concrete work in the lower seats. It's hard to see how that's coming out on the cams.Thanx
  2. WTF jack...anyway, guys, I can clearly see that the visitor stands don't encroach upon the property, but it doesn't look to me that there is enough room from the south-east bend to extend from the visitor section around to the south side of the stadium. Maybe it's just a trick of perspective in this shot. A more top-down angle would be better. But I was just asking, because it looks close.

  3. Cleveland fans are sick of how Mr. James is acting lately. Cleveland fans don't like him hanging out with Dallas or USC or wearing Yankee hats. Cleveland fans are concerned with the posibility that he could skip town in 2010 and leave the Cavs realing. However, noone that I am aware of has ever questioned his commitment to Akron the University of Akron and particularly the University of Akron basketball program.
Why should cleveland fans run LeBron's life?
  4. The big crane is moving around today after sitting idle since before Labor Day. Maybe well get to see the final three floors of the press tower start to go up today. :D
I don't know much about this sorta construction, but I'm gonna guess that they have to (have been) shoring up the lateral and angular translation of the loads before adding the upper level steel work.
  5. If Pluto is going to use my ideas, he could at least credit the great GP1 with the idea. In academic circles, they call it plagiarism.
Re-stating someone's words without giving them credit as the author is plagiarism.Stealing someone else's ideas is life (unless you have a patent, trademark, or trade secret on your "idea")
  6. this board is full of debbie-downers and petty squabblers...someone ban me before I catch this disease
this board is also full of people who have so bought into the bs they've been fed the last 5 years that they're completely blind to reality. Luckily that disease is curable.... I was cured in about the middle of '07, hopefully some of you find the cure soon.
I'm all for people having their opinions... I'm sick of the constant campaigning. I'm ready to leave this place. Why can't we just be fans?
  7. i think it's a rhetorical post.
I know it is... but I found the title a bit offensive to intelligence, since even genuinely rhetorical questions are meant to inspire thought or debate, and I believe that these 'questions' and the supplied answers are meant more to propagandize someone's point of view.
  8. Strange Sunday. Perhaps some one might clue me in.At Mass this morning there was not one piece of Buckeye paraphernalia. Not one, why?At my favorite after church restaurant which is usually a sea of red on Sundays there were no Buckeye rags of any sort. Why?Did I miss something?
No, it's been what we've been saying for years.People in Ohio will glomp on to anything that wins a fair amount of time. They haven't had a championship in ages, and when there is some success, there is rarely if ever anything remotely like a dynasty. So, the buckeyes come along and get one national championship and then some ranked seasons, and everyone in this state clings onto that team like that nerdy guy always shadowing the semi-popular guy who has an odd sorta sympathy to tolerate him. Then when the team gets humiliated by a real power (again), they tuck their tail between their legs and stop yelling "OH ACH" in public places.I'm not talking about OSU grads here. I'm talking about the strongsville soccer mom who wears the scarlette jersey out shopping but still has to ask what a safety is. I'm talking about that 35 year old sales guy who never even played backyard football in his depraved youth but cracks open his heineken on saturday afternoon, turns on the TV and tries to mimic a sports fan.
  9. yeah, forget the injuries, because that's inconvenient to you raggin on the team.Forget syracuse too. When your brain can't get a grip on reality, it's easier to get reality to fit into your brain by discarding all the possible facts, and even the dynamic variables, so that your view stands up timeless.

  10. Zips defense hold up against the run a little bit better this game, and get some stops. Even still, Ball St. ends up scoring 31 points in the game.Once again, Zips offense goes on massive assault, and like the Syracuse game, does more than enough not just to match opponent scores, but also to get ahead in the game. We don't do as well getting first downs as last game, but still get a fair number of big plays from scrimmage.Zips win 38 - 31

  11. HEHThat's just like the SU announcers on the TimeWarner FoxSports channel who kept repeating "This will be Akron's second win against a BCS conference school"......... as if beating Syracuse is like upseting NCState......... as if no one would realize that they are implying that if you are in a "BCS conference" you are somehow on par with being a ranked BCS perennial or something.Don't get me wrong, I love how we didn't just decide to match their offensive output, we tried (and succeeded) in putting them away to make up for some defensive problems, but still, did anyone have them being a ranked contender this year?
