Listen, Akron fans have not always been the poster children of classiness either, but I agree with you that Can't fans seem to be acting like losers. Personality-wise, its analogous to the little punk with self-esteem problems who makes an arse out of himself when he believes someone is making fun of him. Rather than laughing at a good back-and-forth, he takes it personal. Rather than trusting that his girl friend wouldn't cheat, he is perpetually afraid to let anyone talk to her. Rather than having a drink in the bar and laughing it up with one and all, he's always on the lookout for someone who might explicitly or through innuendo slight his character.Even though Can't can have the occasional success in their BBall program, many of their fans seem to have an inferiority complex.Even though Can't graduates their students every 6 or 7 years (if they don't bomb out before their hippie parents cut off the beer money) their student body still can't seem to figure out that a good rivalry makes this more fun, not more personal.

I saw a lot more can't fans at the Q this year than last year.I think those bandwagon hippies jumped on because they know they probably got a bid even if they lose tonight. (we'll see about that, because they will lose. lol. But, can the mac get the respect?)I think that Miami game drained all the psychic energy out of can't. lol yup.it's not copying in any real sense, but I am with you. I definitely think that the format of how their mascot leers half over and somewhat menacingly in a straight-at -you form is no coincidence at all. We know what it was inspired by.

I'm going to throw in one of my oddball psychological theories. I think that people around here innately understand how competitive football is and how hard it is to be successful consistently even when you have all the pieces in place. I don't think people subconsciously lend that type of respect to basketball. I think they feel like you can get lucky with a few talented guys and ride it anywhere... as if it doesn't take a lot of planning, preparation, practice, and dedication.if winning 20 plus games a year is a down year then im all for it.i just dont understand why jd gets free pass in having one good year in which we were just over .500.kd wins 20 games every year and the fans complain. -
lol, I'm not obese. This isn't like the airline policy where there may be some justification to charging 400+ people extra. I lift weights and its my arms and shoulders that invade the space of my neighbors. I don't mind crowds but you have to be reasonable about allowing people an inch of wiggle room.I'm not here to judge anyone's size. -
the one thing that's nice about bleacher (or bench) seating is that you aren't confined to an exact spot, so if the numbers are far enough apart of someone in your row is not there, you get more elbow room.As a decent sized guy, I can't stand being tucked in like a sardine next to people. The 'Q' is really bad for that, even in box seats. If I sit next to another adult, either I take the arm rests and sitback, or the person next to me has to (absolutely no room for both to sitback). That crap is ridiculous. Every time I'm in a place like that I always ask myself why I can't just pour my own beer (for less than a dollar BTW) on the comfort of my own couch and watch the game.

Can of worms.If you are pro-gun control, these campus incidents are you WORST argument.Most campuses are gun free zones, and not only does this policy not stop people from going on shooting sprees, many people contend that gun free zones encourage it because there is no one else on campus concealing any personal protection to defend themselves with.Isn't it time to consider banning the public possession of fire arms?
