Looks like he is holding on to the ball too long here. -
BULLSHITWHY OH WHY OH WHY did I erase that game off my DVR!!!!Savage says the offensive line against the Steelers was the best he's seen in three years, and it was Frye's job to get rid of the ball during the blitzes they knew the Steelers would run.... -
I don't agree that players would EVER cooperate with something like that, but Frye had only 2 passes that could have been considered bad, and one was blatant (the interception). The rest of the dropped passes were on the hands (when he actually had a freaking chance to throw) It was DA who was the one throwing behind. As I said, it's not a conspiracy. The players were not "in on it". It's just that the first three series were absolutely horrid (multiple sacks, dropped passes, short yardage runs) and it was the perfect opportunity to remove Charlie and leave a bad taste with the fans.
I mean the whole team, Charlie included. Did you notice how he threw so far behind players? Also, he had no comments when he left town either. Something just seems fishy.
I can see the organization being nasty. However, I can't see the other players being part of it.I almost think it was even deeper than that. What I saw was a team that wouldn't block for Frye at all. Even when the he did get the pass off there were drops. It almost seemed like the whole team was in on the plan. -
That's exactly what I said on sunday during the game.A bunch of dropped passes and sacks, and they pull him so early in the game over crap that wouldn't have been any different no matter who is in there???? (don't gimme no shit, because he wasn't holding the ball for a long time, and everyone knows frye can scramble). The first thing I said after they pulled him so early was "Wow, that's perfect. It's exactly what they needed. Fans have no positives to pin on him. He's gone. Quinn is in."Seriously. Why would you PULL HIM SO FAST if it was not for shear panic that if you left him in the game he things could turn around? It was perfect, albiet it would have been better if they left frye in the game longer and things still went badly... but they couldnt' take that chance. They had to get him out right then so they could be sure there was nothing positive to speak of and fans couldn't bitch when they made the move that they needed to make.Even Savage admitted it. "We clarified our QB situation". One guy had to go. Pulling Frye after that start was the perfect excuse. It's not conspiracy. It's political calculation.WE are the reasons it happened too. There's no love or loyalty for DA out there. It's us, the Frye Guys. That's reason behind all this. Were there nobody out there like us, the Browns would have cut or traded DA instead and played Frye up until they put Quinn in. Again, as I said, this isn't a conspiracy if you are in the Browns management. This is all scheme and calculation ("necessary" to keep fan alienation to a minimum)You see, if CF looks good, there is no way they can explain pulling him in favor of Quinn. -
It shouldn't matter as long as they keep in mind that 99.9% of us internet schmucks don't know what we are talking about but love to sound like we do.How hard would it be to just lurk in a forum where they are talking about you? That's gotta be rough.

I was just about to agree with you, then you started with the steelers thing. I will NEVER do that. ever!Phil Savage, Romeo Crennel and Brady Quinn did more to turn my stomach andmake me an anti-Brown than all the miserable years of losing ever could.Move over GP1, I am now a Steelers fan. My close friend, a life long Steelersfan, and a big Charlie supporter has finally won me over. -
I think that's the problem I got into with w00t and sgm so I decided that I had to shut up or it would never end. They were probably just arguing for the sake of arguing, but to me if felt like they were trolling and Frye bashing.Wow, this sounds like a Frye bashing thread now. I feel like the guy that always bashes him now. That isn't my intention at all. I am merely saying that obviously the other NFL teams don't share some of your views of how great he can be. -
You're right, a lot would have to happen, but IF for some reason Frye was actually playing for the Seahawks that day, it would be the first time in my life I rooted against the browns.Interesting thought...Seattle comes to Browns stadium on November 4th. That's 7 weeks from now...things would have to fall right, but dang that could make an interesting storyline. -
I breathe a great sigh of relief. Now, the only thing I can hope for is that Frye gets a chance to start someday on a real team.
-
and it would seem that there are NFL people who think differently. ...and if that wasn't trolling, I don't know what is. Atleast you are slightly more direct than w00tCharlie Frye should never be allowed to put on an NFL uniform again. He is a miserable failure as a quarterback. -
lol, and yet you are happy to keep going back and forth with me. :tomato:Rouse:an act or instance of rousing; especially : an excited stirI think "ruse" is the term you were looking for... but I really don't even know what you're talking about anymore. -
and I was speculating yesterday that if he was cut, there would have been multiple teams talking to him. The browns realized that, and decided to get something for him. Makes you wonder, doesn't it.But again, I reiterate, one only has to go back and read your posts to believe, in all your wisdom, that Charlie should be collecting unemployment today. Not "a" draft pick... a 6th round draft pick. And there was plenty of speculation yesterday that he was going to be granted his outright release. (Being traded for a 6th round pick is pretty much the same thing as getting released anyway). -
more trolling......... :rolleyes:You could alteast have stayed on topic to continue your rouseWe're not debating anything because apparently your delicate sensitivities aren't up to it. -
a highschool QB?oh, no, a draftpick? OMG! To read your posts, I would have thought the browns would have just cut him outright and he would have withered into obscurity because no one would have ever wanted him....Zen obviously didn't see what Cleveland received in the trade. -
so, what exactly are we debating now? eh troll?
-
HURRY! Someone tell Seattle to call sgm405 and w00t. They are smarter than NFL and they say Charlie Frye is a highschool quarterback!!!
-
Yeah, I was going to mention the fact that I doubt you would act the same way in person... now you pretty much implied it. Thanx.
I didn't taunt anyone, and I don't see where I implied in any way that I take pleasure in Charlie's misfortune, but his performance was atrocious on Sunday... and that's a fact. Loyalty has absolutely nothing to do with it. Being incapable of objectively judging someone's performance doesn't make you loyal, it makes you a lackey. And did you really just decry a lack of sensitivity on a sports messageboard?Bull! I'm talking about the last several posts where you guys come in here to taunt the really shity turn of events in the last few days on me and everyone in here who have1) legitimate opinions2) damned good reasons to be loyal to CharlieIf you aren't trolling, you could atleast try a little bit more tact and sensitivity. -

someone close this topic. These morons are trolling now.

ROFL captain. I bet some teams will be thinking that very thing
-
Everyone in the NFL knows that it's no one's fault. Something like this can happen on any play to any player. But even if you don't consciously blame yourself, it's still gotta make you sick to your stomach to know you were involved. That's rough. I hope domenik is talking to people.

Dorsey hasn't been signed yet. So, they can't cut frye. Dorsey may be asking for more loot than he got last time around. LOL.What I am about to say hurts me. I don't think I ever could have imagined myself saying it. I was 9 years old and sunday afternoons were my favorite time of the week because of the browns, but....the Cleveland Browns are gheywhat a f'n loser organization.I was hoping yesterday that Charlie got his gift, and got to get out of here. Now I don't know what is happening. -
This actually makes me feel good. I was really worried that he would have to sit on the bench on this shitty team for several years. He'll get picked up

That is A-Freakin-Mazing.I think we need to eminent domain BW3's ass and errect public restrooms in their place. Screw them.Oh yeah, prediction....BTW, my description of how the game would go last week VS tehOSU was pretty close, but my numbers were quite off.I'm still going to predict high this week.Akron 31Indy 24They will come out for 2 quick touchdowns in the first quarter, but our defense will adjust and hold them to just 2 more scores for the rest of the game. Our offense will studder at first, but once we are down a bit, we will start passing down field a bit more and their defenders will lay back 'prevent' style, and we will actually have some scoring drives (OMGWTFBBQ)Rowdy, you just reminded me of something. I went to BW3 on campus last year to watch the Akron/Penn State game. When we got there, the bar was already full of Suckeye fans about to watch the OSU/N. Illinois game. And every television in the place was already turned to the Columbus State game. There was already some other Akron people in there getting ready to watch the game too. I remember us all looking around, and I think we eventually got about 2 of the 20 or so screens turned over to the Akron game.
