If someone wants to donate a ton of money so we can gut the existing JAR and build a real arena, then I'm all for renaming it. If the JAR stays status quo, so should the name. But I think it would set you back several years. You'd be surprised how integrated JAR is into the local culture, somewhat nationally too. What is the name of the arena Cleveland State plays in? To me and most I know it is still the Convo Center.

I hear that Zippy is now in an extended care facility as a result of injuries sustained from said activities.

Just about every seat was full on both sides for the ROWDIES (except driectly behind the standards). I think it is just the design of the arena having like 10 rows at each end and no more.

I think Zippy is just shedding in order to grow his winter coat!

I think an ESPN2 game has to be considered. It's an exciting team, it will give them the opportunity to talk about LBJ for 2 hours and we just spanked a good MWU on the deuce. I agree it is a long shot, but I think Saturday's game may have upped our chances.I'd hate to play a West Coast team such as FS.

Great points.For the BracketBuster, I want a tough team. If we are going to lose, I want it to be a good team AND if we are going to win I WANT IT TO BE A GOOD TEAM!! No more cakewalk opponents. Most of the BB teams should be good, but hopefully we get a good challenge.Also, I don't want a West coast team. Sure, we are at home this year, but we have to go there next year...just like Nevada.

Zippy could use some new duds.I have reason to suspect that Zippy is a great individual. I am not surprised you had a good experience.

Keep in mind, many of the empty seats are corporate owned and not individually owned. For example, my neighbor works for National City Bank. They are a big sponsor and have many seats. He's tried unsuccessfully to find out who keeps the tickets as he was trying to get us games. He's pretty much given up because no one knows, yet many times the seats are empty. It comes down to this, the University has had a program for so many years that was bad and/or not marketed at all. IMO, it will take several years of winning seasons before there is a level respect earned where these seats will not go empty.As for the ROWDIES being anemic, you must have looked past the ROWDIES to the 16 fans from WMU. I was VERY close to the ROWDIES for this game and they did a great job. Especially considering that it was a blow out.

We are used to the LBJ connection and it's overuse. The players are too. Any educated fan who watched the game saw a complete domination today of a team that beat VaTech and held Pitt close. LBJ wasn't even in the building and they still won!

Jeremiah "The Eraser" Wood had 17 boards. Travis had 17 points. Not only did we hold them to under 40, but we almost doubled them up! I have to give it to the ROWDIES....they looked and sounded great. Nice job everyone especially on TV. I was at the game sitting right in the middle of the WMU section so I was near the ROWDIES.I couldn't catch the final attendance, but I know Frenchy said it was over 4,000. GA on the side was full. South GA 3/4 full and North GA half full.The Rome sign was completely awesome. There has to be a story around that sign!!

Actually, it's more of a search enginve optimizatoin thing. Very well done!!!The best "interactive" ad I have seen to date is for the Philips Body Groom.One thing the U doesn't do any more is posting the high res images and wallpapers so fans like us can adorn our computers and more with them. They need to get back into that with screensavers, team photos, digital calendars, etc.One thing that I have seen done before is a script that will place all of a particular team's games onto your Outlook or Lotus Notes calendars. Think about it. Download a small file, run it and it places all of the basketball games right on your calendar. Might help remind a few people of upcoming games when they are looking to book time on the same day!
